The Process Engineer provides process engineering support for raw materials, compounding, production and packaging functions to improve safety, quality, service and cost efficiencies in the operations area in the Pacific, MO manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities
Support daily production needs through process troubleshooting, experimentation and support for production requirements. Work with project managers on designing and installing PLC controls for capital projects. Work with Allen-Bradley PLC's to maintain and improve current operations. Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce cost, increase material utilization, improve first time right, integrate new products/processes into production and reduce variation. Implement necessary changes and update all documentation (including drawings and SOP's) accordingly. Coordinates with plant engineer to oversee capital projects necessary for the continued improvement and modernization of the plant. Ensure completion of projects within budgets. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial engineering. 0 to 3 years' experience in manufacturing environment.
Six Sigma/lean manufacturing experience.
Safety and ergonomic experience. Understanding of process control methods, flowmeters, level monitors, and other process controls within a batch manufacturing process.
Mechanically inclined with a hands-on approach Previous Capital Project experience Ability to read and interpret process drawings Strong interpersonal skills: good communication skills both written and verbal. Strong Analytical & Troubleshooting skills.
PC usage with MS Office Suite Strong AutoCAD skillset.
(3D design utilizing Inventor Professional or Solidworks is plus) Experience with PLC's, Allen Bradley is desired.

Design to incorporate Lean principles to improve reliability, ease of use & maintenance, minimize changeover times, and to minimize production losses.
Safety
Responsible for achieving and maintaining safety goals relative to the maintenance and engineering functions.
Responsible for safety devices, safe design, etc.

Requirements:

Construction Management - Manage contractors, technicians, skilled trades, and internal resources to safely install and startup manufacturing systems.
This includes working with the plant operational teams on training, standard operating procedures, and identification of spare parts. Responsible for identifying capital requirements for the facility's annual capital plan and budget. Direct, review, and approve product design and changes consistent with MOC procedures.
Recruit departmental employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
Analyze annual site utility expenditure and develop plan to optimize plant efficiency to reduce costs (ISO 14001).
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
Integrate the plant PHA initiative with the appropriate capital projects. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures. Interface with leadership, operators, and maintenance to develop needed TPM programs. Support SPC, DOE's, and other Quality initiatives. Lead Engineer for the production processes. Develop facility infrastructure upgrade plan.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
B.S.
in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
At least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. 5-10 years of Facility and Process Engineering experience. Experience managing capital projects required. Experience is Engineering Management. PHA and "Process Safety Management" experience a positive.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Analyze annual site utility expenditure and develop plan to optimize plant efficiency to reduce costs (ISO 14001).
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
Integrate the plant PHA initiative with the appropriate capital projects. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures. As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for the routine and preventative maintenance onsite.
Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Roles and Responsibilities
Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
Ensure all automation within the business operates efficiently and effectively by carrying out regular inspections and diagnosing faults
Overcome unplanned problems and where possible carry out repairs
Work with other maintenance engineers to design and implement a preventative maintenance plan
Work with specialist equipment, such as programable logic controllers (PLC)
Facilitate installations of new machinery, automation projects and partake in site improvement projects
Carry out all work in line with company Health and safety guidelines
Ensure that your working area is kept in a safe and tidy
Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Mandatory Responsibilities
