Position Summary
Carboline Global is seeking a Plant Buyer for our manufacturing facility in Lake Charles, LA.
This individual will be responsible for identifying assigned product manufacturing requirements that optimizes batch sizes, minimizes excess, and meets customer delivery requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Associates degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are a must.
Physical Requirements
This position requires minimal physical activity but does require computer usage for an extended period of time - up to 8 hours in a day.
No unusual environmental, lifting or exertion requirements are associated with this position.
Essential Functions
Work all designated Purchase Orders for review and validation of total demand requirements for raw materials, containers and cartons, and make decisions on proper order quantity, approved vendor and delivery date. Track on Time Delivery orders and follow-up purchase orders that were not delivered by vendor's agreed delivery date and resolve delivery issues. Place purchase orders using LN for raw materials, containers and cartons. Work closely with the Corporate Scheduler to prioritize and coordinate raw materials, cartons, and containers for production requirements. Resolve inventory discrepancies with Accounts Payable. Review each requirement and consolidate purchases where possible, modify and establish order quantities based on coast, production levels and current inventory. In conjunction with Corporate Purchasing, Plant Management and Scheduling, determine appropriate reorder points and stocking levels for raw materials, cartons, and containers. Work with Corporate Purchasing to evaluate and select distributors for raw materials based on quality, price and delivery.
Recommend vendors for product evaluation. Maintain and correlate Purchase order receipt packages for raw materials, cartons and containers received. Take an active role in hazard recognition and injury prevention by following all safety rules & regulations and report all injuries and incidents to your supervisor. Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner.

About the Role: As a Digital Electronics Engineer (C&DH), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic systems for spacecraft, covering the full lifecycle from early design to assembly, integration, and verification (AIV).
The role involves working on complex spacecraft data handling architectures, interface design, and system testing, ensuring the smooth operation of mission-critical electronics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design Command & Data Handling (C&DH) subsystems for spacecraft.
- Define subsystem requirements, test plans, and verification processes.
- Manage data processing and power budgets for onboard electronics.
- Design and review C&DH architectures, ensuring compatibility with mission needs.
- Conduct FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) and FDIR (Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery) processes.
- Collaborate with system engineers, ground segment teams, and operations teams to integrate and validate spacecraft systems.
- Plan, prepare, and execute electrical subsystem and system-level verification tests, including writing test scripts and supporting environmental testing.
- Work with suppliers and procurement teams to define specifications and evaluate C&DH equipment.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of commercial experience in electronic and/or system design for satellite Command & Data Handling (C&DH) systems.
- Experience working with industry-standard spacecraft communication protocols such as CCSDS, I2C, RS422, SpaceWire, and CAN.
- Understanding of C&DH system operations, avionics interfaces, and mission electronics.
- Hands-on experience in developing and executing test plans for spacecraft avionics.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering and requirements management throughout the project lifecycle.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with FPGA design using Verilog/VHDL.
- Proficiency in Python for test scripting.
- Hands-on experience handling and testing flight hardware in a cleanroom environment.
- Knowledge of GNSS systems and time synchronization for satellites.
- Understanding of radiation tolerance analysis and space-grade electronics for Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
- Familiarity with space sustainability initiatives, such as active debris removal and in-orbit servicing.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Integration Centre Technical Lead to join a leading engineering company.
You will be responsible for supervising a small team of assembly technicians, ensuring the successful integration, power-up, and testing of hardware platforms for complex Process Control Systems.
This role involves technical leadership, electrical inspection, and quality assurance, ensuring that all activities meet safety and quality standards.
You will play a key role in powering up hardware solutions, performing electrical testing (including Earth Bond and Flash Testing), and supporting FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) activities.
The role requires technical problem-solving, knowledge sharing, and proactive recommendations for process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Supervision & Leadership
- Act as a technical supervisor to a team of 2-4 assembly technicians, ensuring daily tasks are executed according to requirements.
- Share technical knowledge and mentor team members to improve team competency.
- Report progress and technical issues to the Integration Centre Supervisor.Hardware Integration & Power-Up
- Power-up hardware platforms to ensure the system is ready for application software loading and testing.
- Complete electrical inspection and testing prior to power-up, including Earth Bond and Flash Testing.
- Maintain a register of legacy test equipment and test racks for safety systems to simulate customer plant operations.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Take ownership of the system log register for hardware defects and execute resolutions.
- Maintain test and calibration records for equipment required for I/O measurement and simulation.
- Ensure all procedural and documentation requirements for systems under test are accurately completed.
- Proactively recommend quality and efficiency improvements within the Integration Centre team.
Electrical Compliance & Safety
- Authorised Electrical Person responsible for issuing electrical connection notices (Lock out Tag Certs, etc.).
- Perform isolation, de-isolation, and electrical connection of equipment in compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Corporate, Local, Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
FAT Support & Site Assignments
- Support engineering teams during FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) activities.
- Prepare hardware equipment for shipment after test activities.
- Available to work offshore if required (OPITO Approved Offshore BOSIET training preferred but not essential).

- Technical leadership experience in supervising assembly technicians in a hardware integration environment.
- Knowledge of current electrical standards and wiring regulations (BS 7671).
