An opportunity has arisen for a CNC Setter (Late Shift) to join our client, a respected precision engineering manufacturer delivering low-volume, high-accuracy tubular and threaded components to safety-critical sectors.
As a CNC Setter, you will be programming, setting and running 2-axis lathes to tight tolerances, producing small batches and one-offs.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering benefits, base salary £32,000 - £38,000 and £42,600 - £50,600 including late shift premium.
You will be responsible for
* Writing new programs at the machine (longhand) and adjusting existing programs as required
* Full set-ups: material selection, tooling, workholding, offsets, speeds and feeds
* Programming using Manual Guide i and standard G-code
* In-process verification with relevant metrology equipment to ensure conformance
* Interpreting technical drawings, standards and geometric tolerances
* Producing one-off and low/medium-volume parts across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials
* Collaborating with colleagues in machine shop, quality and production to maintain flow and right-first-time output
* Safely handling larger workpieces with lifting aids (training provided)
What we are looking for
* Previously worked as a CNC Turner, CNC Programmer, CNC Operator, CNC Setter, CNC Machinist, CNC Setter Operator or in a similar role.
* Proven track record programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines
* Confident writing longhand programs at the control with minimal supervision
* Practical experience with Manual Guide i and G-code
* Strong knowledge of cutting data, tooling selection and geometric tolerancing
* Comfortable carrying out in-process inspection and documenting results
* Fluent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
* Background in a machine shop producing precision components for demanding applications
Hoist training will be provided

* Monday - Wednesday: 4.30pm - 3.30am

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: WTI Commercial Façade Foreman is responsible for the oversite and performance of safety, efficiency, and quality of the WTI Commercial Building Envelope business.

As the clear and established leader of the WTI crew, the WTI Foreman is focused on safety, crew management and efficient execution of all WTI Projects assigned to them.

It is the responsibility of the WTI Commercial Foreman to deliver timely and the highest quality service to all our WTI customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively administers and enforces Company safety policy and program to minimize accidents affecting employees, the public, and property.
This includes responsibility for conducting safety meetings, complying with governmental regulations, reporting and investigating accidents, and planning site-specific job safety procedures including: Conduct the daily onsite safety brief prior to the start of the WTI project with all onsite project personnel (Sales Rep, Customer, WTI Supt & Crew, Etc) Inspect and ensure safety of surroundings, equipment and tools and identify and discuss any safety concerns. Complete the Daily Hazard Analysis form and submit to the Supervisors as applicable.
Ensure all project communication is completed prior to the start of any WTI project.
This includes but is not limited to communication with: Sales Rep on weekly/daily schedule WTI crew members to discuss scope of work and daily tasks The customer prior to arrival, upon arrival, and upon completion of daily work WTI Supervisor on safety, schedule changes, project and crew updates, etc.
Efficient project management to include managing crew start and end times, production rates, ensuring tools and materials are available to safely and efficiently completing the assigned project. Complete the project per the scope or work, design and specification of contract & engineering documents.
Complete an end of day and/or end of project walk through to ensure quality repairs and address any items prior to leaving the job site.
Before and after pictures will be sent to the Sales Rep and information will be included in daily project status reports.
These items will include, detailed work performed updates, materials consumed, and supplies purchases are all recording daily.
Supervises, directs, and coordinates the scheduling and execution of projects in assigned areas.
This responsibility includes job start-up, job execution in accordance to contract specifications, job shut-down, and manpower scheduling, all consistent with the planned costs of the job.
Manages field personnel, including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, and retaining the quality and number of production personnel needed to meet operating demands.
This responsibility also includes laying off personnel, disciplinary action, employee assistance, and handling union matters relative to employees.
Ensure that all WTI Field Labor will have a professional appearance and customer interaction while completing services for a customer.
Responsible for the tracking and monitoring project inventory.
Maintains highest quality on-site customer relations in projecting positive image. Has knowledge/understanding and assures assigned projects comply with all governmental rules and regulations affecting work sites and employees, i.e.
OSHA, DOT, EEO/Affirmative Action, EPA, Wage and Hour, etc. Manage, monitor and document performance of WTI Commercial Field Labor and take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee and work related issues.
Consult with WTI Commercial Supervisor and Human Resources as needed.
Contributes to operations by supplying accurate and timely job information, including daily job logs, job file documentation, and compiling information for billing the customer. Provides management with earliest possible notification of real and potential job problems. Accepts responsibility for the care, custody, and purchasing of company equipment, material, tools, and other assets as assigned by the WTI Commercial Supervisor. Trains employees in proper material and equipment usage, maintenance, and storage. Coordinates and monitors performance of on-site subcontractors, where appropriate. EXPERIENCE:
5+ years progressive experience in a similar role to include leading teams and technical solutions, training, troubleshooting, etc.

Supervises, directs, and coordinates the scheduling and execution of projects in assigned areas.

Manages field personnel, including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, and retaining the quality and number of production personnel needed to meet operating demands.

We're recruiting for a Utilities Operator to join a busy industrial site on a fixed-term contract, supporting the safe and efficient running of critical plant utilities and systems.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys monitoring systems, solving problems, improving processes and working with modern IT systems.

What You'll Be Doing
- Monitoring and overseeing the utilities plant equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Recording plant performance and operating parameters using digital systems and logs
- Identifying and reporting anomalies to support planned maintenance and operational improvements
- Supporting the operation of a water treatment plant, including sampling and water quality testing
- Ensuring critical systems operate within required performance parameters
- Carrying out routine inspections, checks and basic maintenance activities
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and safety standards across the plant
- Supporting the development of SOPs, risk assessments and compliance documentation
- Participating in an on-call rota to support site operations when required
What We're Looking For
- OND & GCSE certificate
- 1-5 years of relevant experience
- Flexibility to work on an on-call rota
- A hands-on, practical approach with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with IT systems, logs and reporting tools
- Relevant experience working within a process-driven environment
- Good understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance
- Someone proactive who enjoys problem-solving and improving processes
- Flexible team player willing to support different operational activities when required
- Commitment to continuous skill development
