Job Purpose:, Machine Operation: Operating the centerless grinding machine, which includes starting, stopping, and adjusting the machine as necessary., Monitoring: Observing the machine and workpieces during operation to ensure proper functioning and to identify any issues such as excessive vibration, unusual noises, or irregularities in the workpiece., Inspection: Regularly inspecting the workpieces using measuring instruments (such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges) to ensure they meet the required specifications and tolerances.
The successful candidate should have:, Previous grinding experience desirable on both manual and CNC machines, but we are also willing to train someone with the right attitude, i.e a willingness to learn and follow safe systems of work., Experience using Cincinnati grinding machines is desirable, Good housekeeping skills and strict adherence to procedures/work instructions, particularly relating to accurate measure, will also be required for this role, Due to the nature of the shifts, the applicant must be capable of working unsupervised, be able to use their own initiative to solve problems and be self-motivated to meet the necessary targets on output and quality, Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings is desirable, Ability to work to tight manufacturing tolerances, Experience with, or an ability to learn how to use a variety of measuring equipment (micrometres, verniers and various gauges), A flexible attitude to work

However, whilst undergoing training, you may be on the 2-day shifts for which an 18% shift premium is payable.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Make all intermediates and finished products by adding specific quantities of certain raw materials and/or intermediates to a batch tank or grinding mill according to a written formula using proper batch making techniques and safe methods.
This position also requires application and monitoring of established quality procedures and methods for production batches.
Compiles, tabulates and summarizes QC data for analysis.
Prepares and offers constructive criticisms relative to variables and deviations from prescribed standards of quality.
Maintains statistical records having to do with quality, nature and causes of defects.
Expedites and follows up changes to allow for prescribed quality standards.
Request raw materials for use in formulas.
Position requires knowledge of batch making techniques, machinery operation, scales and meter use, and formula knowledge.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Weigh and/or measure out quantities of solvents, resins, pigments (or dispersions), and additives into blending tanks or grinding mills according to a batch ticket. Tend mixing or grinding equipment and maintain control over time, heat, mix speed, etc. Upon batch completion, take product sample to QC Lab for QC checks. Check production batches by comparison to standards Make adjustments to batch as necessary Recheck batch after adjustments are made until product is within standard product specifications Use proper analytical tools to compare product to standard specs and to wet and/or dry samples Record results of comparison and record onto batch card Consult with Main Lab chemist on products more than 10% out of product specifications Upon approval of product record data onto Quality Control car and enter information into computer data base Consult QC manual for specific requirements for product analysis of production batches and customers special requirements Calibrate QC equipment as required Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion.

Job Summary:
Legend Brands is hiring for a CNC Machine Operator for our Prescott, AZ location.
Under general supervision, the CNC Machine Operator I/II is responsible to perform all machining operations required to produce finished products from a variety of raw materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, etc.
Essential Duties:
1-3 years CNC production experience - Level II classification requires prior experience in making program adjustments based on parts inspections and to perform a broader range of duties
Set-up and operate CNC machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
Use calipers, dial indicators and other measuring instruments to perform quality control checks on finished and in process parts
Select, mount, attach and calibrate a variety of attachments
Run production lots
Recommend changes to processes or procedures to improve quality and productivity
Follow schedule and organize work to ensure continuous supply of machined components to downstream assembly processes
Maintain a safe, organized work environment as well as cleanliness of equipment and the production area
Perform other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
1-3 years CNC production experience - Level II classification requires prior experience in making program adjustments based on parts inspections and to perform a broader range of duties
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to operate machinery and hand tools
Self-starter that is interested in learning on the job
Basic math skills and reading comprehension
Computer skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Physical ability to stand for long periods
Basic understanding of manufacturing safety protocols
Hiring Range:
Between $20.00- $25.25 per hour DOE

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Kettle Operator is responsible for processing Tremco Sealants and/or Roofing products by carefully reading and following the process order card.
The operator is responsible for area readiness to produce which includes safety and collection and preparation of materials like pails, drums, and other chemical raw materials.
One batch is complete the operator will test for quality, adjust as needed to assure specification is met by following written standard operating procedures, and then fill product into specified packaging and palletize pails or drums.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines using control boards, Human Machine Interface (HMI computer touch screen) or semi-automatic equipment.
Draw samples of products, and conduct quality control tests to monitor processing and ensure that standards are met.
Use appropriate scales or measurement devices to add materials to the kettle as specified by batch process orders.
Must be able to read and understand recording instruments, pressure gauges, scales, flow meters, panel lights, and other indicators to verify the conformity of process conditions.
Monitor control settings and make necessary adjustments on equipment.
Accurately record production and downtime via written documentation.
EXPERIENCE: No prior experience is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic Computer Skills required (Windows Familiarity).
Lean and VFM (Visual Factory Management) skills and/or willingness to train.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective team player, self-motivated, quick learner.
Ability to read, write and comprehend the batch-making processes.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to stack 30-pound boxes in high-frequencies.
Ability to lift up to 60-poundpailsusing mechanical assistance and teamwork.
