My client, a go ahead firm of construction consultants is now seeking a high articulate PROJECT MANAGER to join them in KENT.
They are wanting to employ people with one year to five years post graduate experience in construction project management.
Projects are varied and include high end residential, commercial, light industrial, sports and leisure facilities and some one off projects for refurbishment and new build.
THE COMPANY
My client is a firm of construction consultants providing a range of services including Project Management, Quantity Surveying etc.
They have a selection of long standing clients and are extremely busy.
They work on a good range of projects for building construction including new build, refurbishment, fit-out etc.
Their office is in Kent.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Project Manager in the Building Construction industry.
You should have a construction related Degree in Construction Project Management, Civil / Structural Engineering, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or similar.
You must have a minimum of one years post graduate experience of project management up to around five years post graduate experience of project management in the construction industry.
You will need to have been working for a firm of construction consultants.
You may be Chartered with the RICS or working towards becoming chartered.
You should be able to help with delivery of projects, prepare Gantt charts and project execution plans.
You need experience site inspects and site meetings plus attendance at meetings and minuting meetings.
Some experience of administering construction contracts e.g.
JCT and others.
You must have excellent written and spoken English and be confident in dealing with people at all levels.
You need to be highly articulate and confident.
Salary will be negotiable according to your level of experience but in the region of £37000 to £60000 plus pension and other benefits and APC support will be given to become chartered.
In addition my client works slightly longer hours during the week to enable staff to take Friday afternoon off.

We're recruiting for a Graduate Design Engineer to join a well establish Engineering Group based in Huddersfield close to the M62 link.
As a Graduate Mechanical Design, you will play is a pivotal part of the production process within Engineering and assist the team in the development of new and existing products to meet both industry and customer-specific specifications.
The Graduate Design Engineer reports to the Engineering Supervisor and Group Engineering / Technical Manager and works closely with the Research & Development, Sales and Production teams.
Key Responsibilities
The preparation of General Assembly and manufacturing drawings utilising Autodesk Inventor/CAD packages.
The preparation of Bills of Materials within the company's MRP system
The preparation of installation, operational and maintenance manuals.
The design and development of new and existing pressure related products.
Assisting in day-to-day troubleshooting and product performance problem solving.
The preparation of valve factory test procedures.

Essential / Desirable Skills
Strong design skills applicable to valve design.
Understanding of BS8888 drawing standards
Excellent 2D and 3D CAD skills, ideally Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Experience with an MRP system.

Projects are both in the UK and some in the EU.

You will be a Project Manager either at Graduate level or up to Project Manager level with a few years PM experience on building construction projects.
At Graduate level ideally you will have a Degree or MSc in Construction Project Management and be keen to join a firm of consultants to work towards becoming chartered with the RICS.
At Project Manager level you will have a Degree and several years experience in construction project management ideally working for another firm of construction consultants.
You should also be happy to work as part of a team as required.
You should be able to organise and run meetings, take minutes, make sure that the client's brief is adhered to and be able to keep the project moving to complete on time and within budget.
You should be able to work on several projects concurrently.
