Main Responsibilities of the Principal Electronics & Software Product Engineer (Cambridge):
Develop electronics and embedded software (C/C++) for diverse and technically complex new products

Requirements of the Principal Electronics & Software Product Engineer (Cambridge):
Proven industry experience designing, prototyping, and testing electronic circuits and systems, including embedded software development in C/C++
Strong practical electronics skills including soldering, PCB rework/modification, wiring, and use of common laboratory test equipment
Experience across the electronic product development lifecycle from concept through to prototype and manufacture
Ability to work effectively within cross-disciplinary teams, with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
A First or 2:1 degree in Engineering from a leading university (UK top 10 or equivalent)

What Were Looking For
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Work Package Owner, Delivery Manager, Programme Manager, or Technical Lead within software-heavy aerospace or simulation projects.
- Strong understanding of software engineering lifecycles, including development, verification, validation, and integration.
- Knowledge of aerospace software standards (e.g., DO-178C or similar) highly desirable.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams with a significant software engineering focus.

A spin-out Biotech company, based in Cambridge, is currently hiring several Senior Mechanical Engineers to join them and help accelerate the proof of concept, design, development, building, and testing of a novel life-saving biotech manufacturing device.
Your focus will be accelerating the proof of concept, design, development, building, and testing of the hardware of this new biotech device, collaborating with some excellent Medical Devices Physicists, Scientists, Electronics Engineers, and Design Engineers.
This role involves working on the design and development of this biotech manufacturing device, using 3D CAD.
Therefore, specific CAD experience will be essential, ideally SOLIDWORKS.
We need senior-level candidates, someone who has worked on mechatronics, automation, robotics, precision devices or another complex electro-mechanical technology.
Due to the size of this company, you will be exposure to other areas of the business, including third-party meetings and attending Biotech, Medical Devices and Science conferences and trade shows.
