This Process Safety Engineer position is working with a globally leading chemical manufacturer based in the Wigan area who specialise in the manufacture of bespoke resins.
Alongside an annual salary up to £70,000 (experience dependent), there is a benefits package which includes a company pension contribution, healthcare (BUPA), 33 days holiday including bank holidays, with working hours of 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday.
The main purpose of the Process Safety Engineer is to provide Technical support to the Site to ensure effective implementation of regulatory requirements whilst observing risk management procedures.
This includes providing support under the DSEAR & COMAH regulations in the UK.
Responsibilities of the Process Safety Engineer :
, The Process Safety Engineer will produce Technical deliverables as required in support of the business, whilst developing H&S philosophies, design HSE plans, specifications, equipment specifications., You will chair and participate in formal assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL target setting studies, generate study reports and manage subsequent actions, alongside leading HAZID and SIL studies., Participate in project design assurance reviews such as P&ID reviews, Constructability reviews., Responsible for Hazardous area classification following industry codes and guidance and develop and implement functional HSE management plans., In charge of producing and reviewing specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations; ensuring that they conform to quality, competence, and project management systems., You will provide technical support to projects and sites as required whilst adhering to and complying with relevant discipline specific procedures, and providing feedback for continuous improvement., The Process Safety Engineer will ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislative changes, initiatives and industry technology developments., You will hold thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals environmental methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start- up, whilst holding an awareness of international codes and standards.

Report incidents, near misses, and any non-conformances through the appropriate channels.

The Field Support Specialist works closely with the Commercial Roofing Sales Representative to support and increase the sales activity in the region.
Maintains accounts through prospecting, closing, and providing solid market presence including serving customers.
Developing Business
Preparing and/or distributing marketing materials
Inspection and evaluation of the property
Preparing roof drawings and sketches
Preparing scope of work documents
Preparing proposals
Attending sales calls
Pricing patch and repair jobs
Providing technical expertise
Attending meetings with the architect, contractor and/or owner
Managing Accounts
Identifying, analyzing, resolving problems
Preparing reports to owners regarding the condition of roofs.
Project site visits to monitor installation of Tremco roofing products

Identifying and troubleshooting problems arising during installation and the lifecycle of the roof May occasionally perform patch and repair work for small leaks that can be performed quickly after identifying the leak and other infrequent, limited physical labor.
May also perform minor maintenance (caulking, flashing touch up, applying small amounts of mastic, removing debris, etc.) to prevent potential leaks.

Conducting diagnostic infra-red scans of roofs
Taking photographs
Preparing CADD drawings

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Measures chemicals and raw materials to specific requirements per batch instructions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Properly weighs chemicals and raw materials as specified on the batch card.
Accurately and efficiently maintains chemicals and raw materials.
Work with production schedule to maintain efficient use of blenders, meet production expectations, fill customer orders and shipping requirements.
Advise supervisor of problems or low stock levels of raw materials.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Report loss production and spills to supervisor.
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system
Ensure compliance with the QMS, EHS, IMS and other company policies.
Provide support to the Safety Committee.
Operate forklift or other transporting equipment safely and effectively.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: No prior experience or training.

Maintain a Smartsheet or Excel database to record license status
Interact with businesspeople on licensing matters
Interact with and direct activities of CSC (or similar service provider) to ensure license renewals occur in a timely fashion
Interact with and direct activities of Nationwide (or similar service provider) to manage the status of license qualifiers and exam scheduling for contracting and engineering licenses
Timely process payments for license and qualifier fees
Effectively communicate with relevant federal, state and local licensing agencies.
Perform general administrative duties, including, but not limited to:
Drafting and finalizing department correspondence
Electronic scanning and filing
Creating PowerPoint or other presentation materials.
