GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Machine Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III).
The level will be determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues resulting in efficient cycles and minimal downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.
Follow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machine(s).
Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards.
Ensure product meets certain tolerances and specifications.
Perform routine inspections per quality standards.
Understand production instructions.
Maintain accurate paperwork.
Package, label, and store products.
Cross-train on other production functions as business needs dictate.
Clean and maintain the assigned area to ensure proper functionality.
Report and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues.
Participate in the continuous improvement process.
If appropriate, set up and operate various offline and secondary equipment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
No formal educational requirement.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
No prior work experience or training required.
Previous experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment requiring speed and dexterity is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Forklift Licensecertified.

Ability to function effectively in a team setting.

Essential Functions:
Works with staff, customers, and management as needed to ensure accurate company records. Assists in management and development of processes and ongoing programs. Manage daily procurement of raw materials based on the critical materials report, maintain inventory levels within established minimum and maximum thresholds, record purchase order receipts in the inventory management system, and ensure accurate costing of purchase orders within the requisition system.
Supervise, coach, and motivate staff while fostering professional growth and development.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum education and experience: a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline or high school diploma and 5 years' experience in a related area, or suitable combination of education and relevant experience as described. Minimum of 10 years of responsible leadership experience in management or supervisory positions. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and demonstrated proficiency with administrative functions. Extensive knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the thermoset polymer industry is a strongly considered asset. Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of office and facilities coordination and basic leadership and management knowledge. Job title: Principal Software Engineer - Autonomy

Role overview: To lead the software development of a high-level autonomy capability to be deployed to autonomous vehicles.
This is a diverse R&D-led role covering vessel guidance, mission frameworks and behaviours, obstacle avoidance, and other high-level capabilities including modern AI techniques.
Most development will require strong expertise with C++, Python, ROS/ROS2, DDS, and embedded Linux environments.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising autonomy algorithms and systems in both experimental and production settings.

PERSON SPECIFICIATION
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
Extensive experience in C++, with a focus on software architecture and algorithms.
Strong understanding of autonomous system design, including motion planning, state estimation, and behaviour-based control.
Experience working with Linux, including system-level debugging and performance tuning.
Solid knowledge of real-time systems, distributed computing, and middleware communication frameworks.
Experience developing and deploying software in an R&D and production environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and iterate on autonomy algorithms.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical ideas clearly.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
