An opportunity has arisen for a Family Paralegal to join the Domestic Abuse Department of a well-established law practice, supporting clients through sensitive and challenging legal matters.
As a Family Paralegal, you will manage your own caseload of domestic abuse cases from initial instruction through to conclusion, providing professional and sensitive legal assistance to vulnerable clients.
This role can be fully remote or hybrid working offering a salary of up to £35,000, depending on experience, alongside a range of benefits.
Candidate can be based anywhere in the UK.
You will be responsible for
* Managing your own caseload of domestic abuse matters from start to finish, including Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders.
* Taking initial instructions from clients with sensitivity and understanding.
* Preparing urgent court applications, statements, chronologies and supporting documentation.
* Completing Legal Aid applications, including emergency funding, and working with CCMS.
* Communicating with courts, police, support workers and interpreters.
* Supporting vulnerable clients and keeping them informed throughout the legal process.
* Maintaining accurate case files and ensuring confidentiality and compliance with safeguarding procedures.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
* Experience in domestic abuse legal work and managing your own caseload from start to finish.
* Working knowledge of CCMS and Legal Aid Agency procedures.
* Experience in legal aid-funded family law work.
* A law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
* Strong drafting, organisational and communication skills.
* Good attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.

You will support the Registered Manager and other managers with operational leadership, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

As the Deputy Manager your key responsibilities include:
Support the Registered Manager with the safe, effective and efficient day-to-day running of domiciliary care services across the West Midlands

Assist with supervisions, appraisals, performance management, team meetings and staff development, escalating concerns appropriately
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Recent experience in domiciliary care as a care team leader, senior care coordinator or in a comparable senior operational role
A good understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, medication practice, risk management and quality assurance
The confidence to make sound decisions, manage competing priorities and remain calm when responding to operational challenges.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a professional and compassionate approach
The ability to coach colleagues, address performance concerns constructively and promote accountability
Good digital and written skills, with the ability to maintain clear, accurate and confidential records.

The successful Deputy Manager will receive a salary of £15,000 - £20,000 per annum.
