As the Residential Service Manager your key responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing evidence based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and individualised activity programmes
Leading and supervising the support and nursing teams to deliver the highest standards of person-centred care using clinical governance and their own personal development
Have a good understanding of the disabilities, health and social care needs, of service users and assist those who have mobility or continence needs, using the appropriate aids and equipment;
Provide appropriate levels of care and support to ensure that personal hygiene needs are met
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Experience as a Residential Care Manager
Good working knowledge of CQC standards and the Health and Social Act 2008
Developing and implementing evidence based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and individualised activity programmes
Leading and supervising the support and nursing teams to deliver the highest standards of person-centred care using clinical governance and their own personal development
You will be familiar in areas concerning sickness management, staff training and development, and coaching and mentoring.
You will have an effective way of communicating with your team
Be able to communicate and engage effectively with our service users, their families and colleagues, good interpersonal and working relationship skills are essential

The successful Residential Service Manager will receive an excellent salary up to £47,500 per annum.
This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week on days.

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children's Home Registered Manager to open, establish and lead a small sized children's home located in Lewisham, South East London area
This will be an Ofsted-regulated children's home providing high-quality care, safeguarding, and support for young people with SEND, emotional, behavioural, and complex needs

*To be considered for this position you must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare + Minimum 3 years' experience in a residential childcare setting with 2+ years at supervisory/Deputy/management level

As the Manager your key responsibilities include:
Provide confident, trauma-informed leadership to staff team and young people
Create a safe and supportive environment that promotes emotional, social and educational development for each child
Recruit, induct and retain a high-quality staff team with the necessary skills and values for working with vulnerable children
Oversee staffing, training, supervisions, appraisals and professional development
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and emotional resilience
Lead the home's strategic planning, setting objectives and measurable outcomes in line with organisational and regulatory expectations
Maintain an up-to-date Statement of Purpose and ensure all operations reflect its aims and values
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and the Children's Homes Regulations
Lead safeguarding efforts as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) including response to disclosures, incidents and concerns in line with Working together to Safeguard Children and in line with local authority safeguarding partnership procedures
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and emotional resilience
Manage budgets, audits, inspections, and operational processes
Build effective partnerships with families, professionals, and external agencies
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Children's Home Regulations and therapeutic care
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience supporting children with trauma, challenging behaviour, and complex needs
