JOB DESCRIPTION
The Production Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations of the production area for designated shift.
Maintain safe and productive working environment as well as meet product quality expectations.
Responsibilities:
Assist in selection, training, coordination and assignment/re-assignment of associates to maximize the effectiveness of personnel.
Work closely with human resources and other supervisors to ensure plant policies are adhered to, and disciplinary action is both appropriate and consistent.
Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring that all plant policies and practices are adhered to.
Take action to correct unsafe conditions, and lead safety efforts.
Develop and/or implement procedures and processes that ensure quality standards are consistently achieved. Through continued emphasis on housekeeping standards and practices, develop and maintain a professional, neat and well-organized area. Through coordination with maintenance, appropriate assignment of crews, and implementation of improvement projects, optimize productivity of packaging equipment.
Ensure that all performance data (line sheets, time sheets, etc.) is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Work closely with compounding, schedulers and packaging inventory analyst to ensure production schedules are met, and both equipment and human resources are optimized.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, production or operations management.
3-5 years' experience in required field.
Require a thorough knowledge of manufacturing and operations management principles Good leadership abilities, specifically the ability to exercise individual discretion to effectively direct the work of others.
Good communication skills, mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, basic computer/PC skills

The Maintenance Welder will be working 4-day, 10-hour schedule and on call nights, weekends, and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to understand and perform complex repair procedures while following oral and written instruction specific to the equipment being repaired.
Able to Work 4 day/10-hour shift.
Must have Basic Mechanical ability.
Ability to conduct Structural welding.
Proven ability to Pipe Welding on Carbon and Stainless.
Pipe Fitting.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, catwalks, or high lifts.
Develops a full understanding of chemical hazards specific to area assigned to, including knowledge of required PPE for each job.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, drawings, and/or specifications.
Work in plant, and shop environment.
Develops a full understanding of material identification code system, including hazard identification numbering for repair jobs that require clearing of equipment in such service.
Must develop a basic understanding of the function of plant auxiliary equipment, including the fire protection system, boiler, heaters, air compressor, waste handling and emission control devices.
This includes specific tests or preventive maintenance procedures required for all equipment.
Develops a basic understanding of bulk tank systems.
This includes a numbering system and location tank tables, level measuring systems and transfer pumps for repairing such systems.
Must develop a full understanding of the plant waste handling systems.
This includes sumps operation, holding tanks, separation, and transfer equipment for repairing such systems.
Work with internal costumers to provide support for small projects; troubleshoot problems using operational procedures and products to eliminate downtime.
Help to maintain records on equipment to build history to track equipment service and replacement requirements.
Assist in training of less skilled mechanics.
Adhere to all company quality, safety, security, health and environmental requirements and policies.
Work with and/or supervise projects using outside contractor.
Perform all work according to Tremco CPG quality, emergency, and safety procedures.
Assist with Housekeeping.
Adhere to fire watch responsibilities.
LOTO/Safe use of hand power tools.
Understand line break permits, burning & welding permits.
Observe and understand TPM project.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High School Diploma/GED.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
3 or more years of experience in mechanical field.
Experienced in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting plant issues.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Overview:
This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised engineering leader supplying to key industries including Defence, Power Generation, and Oil & Gas.
It's an excellent chance for a Mechanical Fitter to secure a permanent role and contribute to innovative projects on a global scale.
Location:
Based in Huddersfield with convenient access to the M62, this site is easily commutable from Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham, and Sheffield.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter:
Assembling high-value rotating equipment, gearboxes, and ancillaries
Working from detailed technical and engineering drawings
Using precision measuring tools, including internal and external micrometres
Accurately recording build data, including serial and cast numbers
Compiling shift handover notes and communicating progress effectively
Maintaining a safe and organised working environment with strong housekeeping standards
Taking personal responsibility for health and safety, including hazard reporting and use of PPE
Supporting installations and inspections when required
Experience Required:
Previous experience working in a medium to heavy engineering environment
Ideally experienced in building and stripping rotating equipment, gearbox systems, and associated components
Qualifications:
A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (e.g.
Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC, HND, or equivalent)
Shifts Available:
Multiple shift patterns are available to suit different schedules:
Base Salary (Day Shift): £37,379
AM/PM Shifts: £44,107
Continental Days: £54,666
Continental Nights: £57,937
Holiday Entitlement: 33 days (including public holidays)
