A leading aerospace and aviation organisation is seeking an experienced Compliance Investigator to support its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations.
This is a contract opportunity, based primarily in Oxfordshire, with regular travel required to operational sites across the UK.
The successful contractor will play a key role in ensuring regulatory and operational compliance, conducting in-depth investigations, identifying root causes, and driving corrective and preventive actions.
This role sits within a compliance and quality-focused environment and supports the promotion of safety, standardisation, and continuous improvement across multiple locations.
Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance Investigations & Root Cause Analysis
Conduct thorough investigations into compliance-related incidents, discrepancies, and safety concerns
Perform MEDA investigations where required
Apply Root Cause Analysis methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and Fault Tree Analysis
Identify Human Factors and Human Performance contributors
Analyse trends and systemic issues, ensuring sustainable corrective actions are implemented
Regulatory & Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to applicable aviation regulatory frameworks, including Part 145 and associated UK/EASA requirements
Support compliance with CAMO, Part 21 G, and military aviation regulations where applicable
Work closely with Quality and Assurance teams to support audits and inspections
Support regulatory audits and coordinate responses to findings, ensuring timely closure of non-conformances
Process Improvement & Risk Mitigation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve maintenance procedures and operational effectiveness
Recommend and support implementation of risk mitigation strategies
Promote best practice in safety, human factors, and compliance monitoring
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
Produce clear, structured investigation reports with recommendations for senior stakeholders and regulators
Engage with engineering, maintenance, production, and safety teams to improve compliance awareness
Maintain accurate investigation records and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Essential Experience & Skills
Proven experience conducting compliance investigations within an aviation maintenance or aerospace environment
Strong expertise in Root Cause Analysis and structured problem-solving techniques
In-depth knowledge of UK CAA and EASA regulatory frameworks, particularly Part 145
Solid understanding of Human Factors, Human Performance, and limitations
Experience reviewing technical documentation, maintenance records, and regulatory requirements
Background in audits and inspections within a maintenance or regulated environment
Strong analytical, report-writing, and stakeholder communication skills
Proficiency with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance monitoring tools
Desirable Experience
Experience with MEDA investigations
Knowledge of CAMO, Part 21 G, and/or military aviation regulations (MRP 145, MIL CAMO)
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent aviation quality standards
Experience using Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies

If you’re interested in sustainability, technology and practical working, send in a copy of your CV.ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will be given a company van and will be carrying out water efficiency consultations across a range of customer homes and businesses throughout West Yorkshire.This is a FREE service to the customer, paid for by the local water company.All your appointments will be made for you, and you’ll be using our excellent works management app to guide you to every visit.
The app will also guide you through the visit itself.You’ll engage with the customer and discuss their current water usage, offering them tips and advice as to how to reduce their usage, saving them water and money.You’ll also offer an instant assessment of in-home fittings such as taps, toilets, showers etc, and will be measuring flow rates of taps and showers using tools provided as well as looking for leaks.You’ll be inputting data using our My Water app on a company tablet and You’ll be installing some ‘easy-to-fit’ water saving gadgets, if required.Finally, at the end of the consultation, you'll be presenting the results, findings and water saving recommendations, taken from the app to the customer.Full training will be given in all aspects of the job, you’ll shadow one of our existing team and once you’re ready you’ll be going solo.This role suits those who have a passion for addressing climate and sustainability issues.Main Duties:
Visiting domestic properties, liaising with homeowners and occupants.Discussing water efficiency and the drivers behind it.Providing water saving guidance and behavioural change advice.Fitting the recommended water saving gadgets (easy to do) and ensuring highest of customer care standards are met.Data inputting into My Water app and other specialist tools, using dedicated software for data capture via smartphone/tablet as well as MS Office.Assist Project Manager and planning team to deliver the best service in the industry (we have 95% satisfaction rating).Occasional weekend work may be required
Qualifications:
Educational: GCSEs including Maths and EnglishFull UK driving licence: essential (a company vehicle will be provided)

The Role A precision engineering manufacturer in Tamworth is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Engineer to lead and operate its Quality Management System (QMS).
Reporting to the Head of Production, you'll develop and write quality procedures, conduct audits both internally and across the supply chain, and deliver training to promote continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on role responsible for driving high standards and ensuring compliance throughout all manufacturing and business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and develop the Quality Management System, ensuring robust documentation and compliance.
- Organise, manage, and conduct internal audits as well as support external audit processes.
- Provide quality guidance and training across procurement, engineering, and production.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action systems.
- Collate and report on key performance indicators to prevent non-conformities.
- Support product validation, first-off approvals, and application of tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA, and Measurement System Analysis.
- Conduct root cause analysis and work with teams to resolve quality issues.
- Plan and issue Standard Operating Procedures that meet ISO and customer requirements.
- Liaise with various functional teams to validate process improvements and maintain quality standards.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in quality engineering within automotive or precision manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and 8D.
- Experience in precision machining and/or manual assembly preferred.
- HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent.
- Certified Internal Quality Auditor (advantageous).
- Excellent communication and strong IT skills (ERP, MS Office).
- Full UK driving licence required.
