The primary result expected from the Assistant Supervisor-Milling will be to supervise the department to ensure the manufacturing of paint and related products by directing and coordinating the daily activities under the guidance of the shift supervisor, executing the shift production work schedule as dictated via the production plan, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized working environment while providing training requirements and leadership/guidance to all department shift personnel. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training. Observe work and monitor all indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards. Confer with management to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Responsibilities/Expectations: Communicate with Supervisors and peers : provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person. Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality. Learn all manual tasks performed within the department. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Filler/Packager is responsible to fill product using at least one of the different types of packaging machines.
The operator will organize the area, collect materials such as pails, cans, cartridges or films, and set up the filling and packaging equipment.
Responsibilities include gathering required labels and casing materials.
Production Order card must be read and followed exactly as to correct packaging including labeling of cans and cases, etc.
Operator is responsible to report correct counts of production for the shift and report downtime information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Neatly assemble and place all required materials from the fill card to be used in their appropriate location throughout the shift. Read and follow filling procedures to package material into cartridges, chubs, or one, two and five-gallon units. Follow and meet the established production schedules. Properly use the filling equipment and maintain cleanliness of the work area following written standard operating procedures. Assist in the waste segregation and recycling program. Communicate written and verbal information between the Foreman and Production Manager. Use appropriate safety equipment and follow established safety regulations. Track progress throughout assigned shift by completing overall equipment effectiveness documents.
EDUCATION:
No high school diploma required.
EXPERIENCE:
No prior experience or training.

Partner with LEAN leadership in eliminating unplanned production interruptions. Work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures. Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. Prepare capital projects for submission to management.
Included are costs, schedule, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and needed procedures. Serve as lead project engineer for approved capital projects with the goal of on time and on budget completion. Develop and administer a viable and visual Preventative Maintenance Program that reduces downtime and improves overall reliability of production and production supporting machinery.
Responsible for identifying capital requirements for the facility's annual capital plan and budget. Direct, review, and approve product design and changes consistent with MOC procedures.
Recruit departmental employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
Analyze annual site utility expenditure and develop plan to optimize plant efficiency to reduce costs (ISO 14001).
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
Integrate the plant PHA initiative with the appropriate capital projects. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures. Interface with leadership, operators, and maintenance to develop needed TPM programs. Support SPC, DOE's, and other Quality initiatives. Lead Engineer for the production processes. Develop facility infrastructure upgrade plan.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
B.S.
in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
At least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. 5-10 years of Facility and Process Engineering experience. Experience managing capital projects required. Experience is Engineering Management. PHA and "Process Safety Management" experience a positive.

The Kettle Operator is responsible for processing Tremco Sealants and/or Roofing products by carefully reading and following the process order card.
The operator is responsible for area readiness to produce which includes safety and collection and preparation of materials like pails, drums, and other chemical raw materials.
One batch is complete the operator will test for quality, adjust as needed to assure specification is met by following written standard operating procedures, and then fill product into specified packaging and palletize pails or drums.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines using control boards, Human Machine Interface (HMI computer touch screen) or semi-automatic equipment.
Draw samples of products, and conduct quality control tests to monitor processing and ensure that standards are met.
Use appropriate scales or measurement devices to add materials to the kettle as specified by batch process orders.
Must be able to read and understand recording instruments, pressure gauges, scales, flow meters, panel lights, and other indicators to verify the conformity of process conditions.

Work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures. Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. Prepare capital projects for submission to management.
Included are costs, schedule, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and needed procedures. Serve as lead project engineer for approved capital projects with the goal of on time and on budget completion. Develop and administer a viable and visual Preventative Maintenance Program that reduces downtime and improves overall reliability of production and production supporting machinery.
Responsible for identifying capital requirements for the facility's annual capital plan and budget. Direct, review, and approve product design and changes consistent with MOC procedures.
Recruit departmental employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
Analyze annual site utility expenditure and develop plan to optimize plant efficiency to reduce costs (ISO 14001).
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
Integrate the plant PHA initiative with the appropriate capital projects. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures. Interface with leadership, operators, and maintenance to develop needed TPM programs. Support SPC, DOE's, and other Quality initiatives. Lead Engineer for the production processes. Develop facility infrastructure upgrade plan.

in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Filler/Packager is responsible to fill product using at least one of the different types of packaging machines.
The operator will organize the area, collect materials such as pails, cans, cartridges or films, and set up the filling and packaging equipment.
Responsibilities include gathering required labels and casing materials.
Production Order card must be read and followed exactly as to correct packaging including labeling of cans and cases, etc.
Operator is responsible to report correct counts of production for the shift and report downtime information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Neatly assemble and place all required materials from the fill card to be used in their appropriate location throughout the shift. Read and follow filling procedures to package material into cartridges, chubs, or one, two and five-gallon units. Follow and meet the established production schedules. Properly use the filling equipment and maintain cleanliness of the work area following written standard operating procedures. Assist in the waste segregation and recycling program. Communicate written and verbal information between the Foreman and Production Manager. Use appropriate safety equipment and follow established safety regulations. Track progress throughout assigned shift by completing overall equipment effectiveness documents.
EDUCATION:
No high school diploma required.
EXPERIENCE:
No prior experience or training.

There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III).
