A Test Technician is sought to join a specialist engineering team in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, contributing to the assembly, calibration, testing, and support of advanced electronic and electrical systems within the defence sector.
The Test Technician, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, will be expected to develop your understanding in the field, learning from peers and senior engineers in technical assembly, testing, calibration, and support activities.
This may include supporting electronic and electrical system design, repair and maintenance activities, and working to defence and regulatory standards within a highly technical engineering environment.
Responsibilities include:
Perform complex assembly of electronic and electrical products to engineering specifications.
Conduct product and performance testing, recording accurate test results and documentation.
Carry out high-precision calibration and advanced equipment adjustments using test instruments.
Support repair and maintenance activities for electronic and electrical systems.
Work from engineering drawings, technical documentation, and assembly instructions.
Support engineering teams in developing assembly and test procedures.
Perform cleaning and preparation of components and assemblies in line with procedures.
Liaise directly with customers where required to support technical requirements and expectations.
Work across multiple engineering projects and workflows simultaneously.
Maintain compliance with company, legal, and regulatory standards.
Support occasional UK and international travel requirements where necessary.
Key skills & experience:
Experience working within technical assembly, test, or engineering environments.
Strong technical and practical engineering ability.
Experience working across multiple engineering workflows and technical disciplines.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Experience using testing instruments and calibration equipment.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and structured documentation.
Ability to understand and work with Microsoft Project.
Engineering qualification Level 3 or above would be advantageous.
Previous defence or public sector engineering experience beneficial but not essential.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).

What will you do this year?
In your role as an Assistant Manager, Facilities & Grounds Maintenance, your primary accountabilities will be:
Support the planning and daily coordination of facilities and grounds maintenance operations to ensure PNE buildings, infrastructure, equipment, outdoor spaces, and public areas remain safe, functional, clean, and event-ready year-round.

Support the ongoing use and development of Limble CMMS, including work orders, preventative maintenance scheduling, inspections, asset tracking, and reporting.
Assist with seasonal and event readiness planning for Playland, The Fair, concerts, festivals, sporting events, film activity, and other site operations.
Coordinate pest control and mitigation programs, including vendor coordination, monitoring, documentation, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Support department safety programs through inspections, hazard assessments, training, safe work procedures, and corrective action follow-up.
Assist with budget tracking, inventory control, material planning, and resource allocation to support efficient operations.
Coordinate and oversee contractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and in alignment with PNE standards and site requirements.
Support compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and collective agreement obligations.
Respond to after-hours or urgent maintenance issues on a rotational or as-needed basis.
Support employee relations activities including coaching, performance management, attendance support, and documentation in collaboration with the Manager and People & Culture.
Maintain training records, operating procedures, inspection documentation, and other administrative records related to maintenance operations.
Participate in operational planning, event readiness meetings, site walkthroughs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other related duties as required.
What else?
3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities maintenance, grounds maintenance, construction, operations, trades coordination, municipal/public-space maintenance, or a related environment.
Previous experience providing leadership, direction, or supervision to staff in a maintenance, facilities, grounds, construction, or operational setting is preferred.
Completion of a post-secondary certificate, diploma, trades qualification, facilities management training, construction-related training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is considered an asset.
Knowledge of facilities maintenance, grounds maintenance, building systems, site infrastructure, equipment, preventative maintenance practices, and safe work procedures.
Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, such as Limble CMMS, is considered an asset.
Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, inspections, corrective actions, and maintenance work in a busy operational environment.
Strong understanding of occupational health and safety requirements, hazard identification, safe work practices, and regulatory compliance.
Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and administrative skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking experienced Commercial Roofers to join our team.
The Commercial Roofer will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and installation of commercial roofing systems.
$20-33/hour

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Installation of different types of roofing systems such as BUR, EPDM, Single-ply, coatings, and other forms of low-slope roofing systems
Safe operation of tools of the trade (hand tools, power tools etc.)
Follow OSHA regulations and other regulatory agencies relating to job site safety, demonstrates safe work practices.
Work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions and to meet the physical demands of the position, including mobility needed to complete tasks.
Climbing and operating on ladders, able to handle at least 50 lbs.
Effective communication with foremen, supervisors, and other WTI and Tremco employees
Job Requirements:
Commercial Roofing: All levels; at least 1 year preferred

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to support daily inventory operations and multiple manufacturing and warehouse locations.
This role is essential to maintaining accurate inventory, supporting production, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations as our business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and manage daily inventory functions, including returns, aging inventory, and transaction processing.
Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts; research and resolve discrepancies.
Enter and maintain product codes, material master data, BOM recipes, costing information, and corporate reporting.
Process production batch tickets and complete finished goods inventory.
Handle drum disposal and tote recycling processes.
Support inventory activities across multiple manufacturing and warehouse sites.
Qualifications
2+ years of inventory management or related experience.
Strong knowledge of inventory systems / WMS / ERP (SAP preferred).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience in accounting or shipping/receiving is a plus.
Relevant college coursework or degree a plus.
Skills & Attributes
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Self-directed with solid problem-solving abilities.
Mechanical aptitude, including comfort with fluid gauges and material handling.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
