GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Kettle Operator is responsible for processing Tremco Sealants and/or Roofing products by carefully reading and following the process order card.
The operator is responsible for area readiness to produce which includes safety and collection and preparation of materials like pails, drums, and other chemical raw materials.
One batch is complete the operator will test for quality, adjust as needed to assure specification is met by following written standard operating procedures, and then fill product into specified packaging and palletize pails or drums.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines using control boards, Human Machine Interface (HMI computer touch screen) or semi-automatic equipment.
Draw samples of products, and conduct quality control tests to monitor processing and ensure that standards are met.
Use appropriate scales or measurement devices to add materials to the kettle as specified by batch process orders.
Must be able to read and understand recording instruments, pressure gauges, scales, flow meters, panel lights, and other indicators to verify the conformity of process conditions.
Monitor control settings and make necessary adjustments on equipment.
Accurately record production and downtime via written documentation.
EXPERIENCE:
No prior experience is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic Computer Skills required (Windows Familiarity).
Lean and VFM (Visual Factory Management) skills and/or willingness to train.

Document accurate maintenance activity records.

Participate in the continuous improvement process.
Report incidents, near misses, and any non-conformances through the appropriate channels.

Category Strategy and Management
Develop, document, communicate & maintain category strategies for assigned commodity.

Drive down total cost of ownership, improve cash flow, improve supplier performance & identify new partners.
New Product Development
Partner with stakeholders in DAP New Product Development projects requiring packaging suppliers' key engagement.
Develop a robust supply base to support New Product Development, in partnership with Marketing & R&D.
Reporting
Maintain all necessary reporting to support Procurement leadership, RPM Center Led Procurement, Finance, and others.
Ensure compliance to all appropriate policies, procedures & regulations.
Other
Ensure timely entry/update of data changes in ERP system (SAP Purchase Info Record), including price, terms, vendor, and commodity data.
Summarize price, terms, and vendor changes on a regular basis to ensure ready access to current information.
Investigate discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices with Accounts Payable and Cost Accounting.
Approve payment of invoices in question, coordinate (from Purchasing perspective) artwork changes with packaging suppliers, plants, and Marketing.
Maintain purchase history data to include generating SAP based queries for PPV Reports, etc.
Maintain commodity price files and comparative pricing history with suppliers.
Assist in developing standard costs for annual budget review.
Maintain packaging commodity files.
Maintain packaging specifications with Marketing and raw material specifications with R&D.

Requirements
Preferred/ Not required: CPM Purchasing Certificate.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering, or Business Management.
3 to 5+ years of strategic and in-depth, hand-on purchasing experience
Sound knowledge of general office practices and procedures, preferably in a manufacturing or purchasing environment.
Basic computer skills (AS400 and PC based) with capability of working with SAP, thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite, including extensive experience with Excel, and Lotus Notes.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Mechanical Engineer provides engineering support to the assigned program and/or area to ensure the product is processed in accordance with customer and division quality requirements while maintaining production flow.
Charged with developing and maintaining systems to ensure that all products manufactured by the plant meet customer specifications and achieve superior and reliability levels.
Responsible for investigating and implementing new process technology at the plant.
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing the plant.
This position is responsible for influencing the development of preventative maintenance programs at the facility and will have a significant role in capital improvement plans while assisting in work area design, plant layout, visual control and metric implementation, material flow, process tracking, and communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of the finished product.
Participate in plant metric reporting.
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities as detailed in the facility site plan to resolve any production problems that may occur, maximize product consistency, and minimize cost.
Prepare estimates of production costs and production progress reports for management.
Design measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and in pilot plant operations.
Use SAP to monitor production/business functions.
Provides engineering expertise for all operations in the plant.
Must be the subject matter expert regarding all manufacturing equipment and processes at the plant.
Recommend modifications to current processes and equipment; document and follow up with process engineers responsible for the modifications.
Works with the plant engineers and maintenance to influence the direction of preventative maintenance best practices.
Support a high-performance results-oriented culture and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Provide technical and operational leadership for equipment and facility maintenance and improvements.
Deliver disciplined project management and product development assistance.
Regular review of batch first pass yield, production quality, distressed, obsolete, scrap, and returned material.
Troubleshoot and implement repeatability best practices.
Assist in the identification of capital requirements for the facilities' annual capital plans and budgets.
Lead investigations into equipment failures, difficulties, and deficiencies.
Interface with leadership, operators, and maintenance to ensure continuous improvement and continuous production.
Develop and streamline their critical metrics and assist when necessary.
Assist in the development of site metrics and KPI's Implementation and continued support of PIE.
Perform a job in accordance with all Tremco safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (B.
S.) in mechanical or electrical engineering.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
6+ Years' experience performing Engineering duties/responsibilities in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.
Continuous web process and batch process equipment experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Create standard work instructions/SOPs.
Demonstrate knowledge of arithmetic, statistics, continuous improvement concepts, ISO procedures, and their applications.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Assistant Process Operator in our Chemical plant located in Corsicana.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete work functions within Chemical production operations.
Responsible for the quality blending of finished products and the bulk, drum, and pail packaging of products.
Full understanding of Chemical Hazards specific to area assigned to, including PPE.
General forklift duties.
The core responsibility for blending and packaging of products demands the use of mechanical and electrical equipment such as pumps, mixing equipment, and automation control systems.
Completion and compliance of all safety initiatives and certification requirements including all near miss and incident reporting.
Accountable for the data entry of production tickets, good receipts, and shipping documentation.
Daily inspection of work area and monthly document reporting.
Ensure that a clean organized work environment is maintained at all times.
Assist with physical inventory counts and processes.
Compliance with all applicable ISO requirements.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred, 2-year Process Technology Degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Preferred, Manufacturing, Chemical or Technical experience 2+ years.
Preferred, Forklift experience certified.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Good Attendance record.
Able to Work 12-hour shift: Dupont Schedule, Day and Graveyard rotation.
Ability to work in the US without sponsorship.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, squat down, and reach above your head throughout the day,
Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Must be able to wear fall protection, and work at heights.
Must be able to wear respirator approx.
2 hours per day and work in confined spaces.
Forklift experience certified.
24 hour Hazpower.
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:
The hourly starting rate for applicants in this position wage is $25.00 plus a $1.00 shift premium.
This amount is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
This position is also eligible for a 6% annual bonus.
This position will practice the DuPont work schedule.

Design measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and in pilot plant operations.
Use SAP to monitor production/business functions.
Provides engineering support for all operations in the plant.
Recommend modifications to current processes and equipment; document and follow up with engineers responsible for the modifications.
Works with the plant engineers, maintenance, and facilities to influence the direction of preventative maintenance best practices.
Support a high-performance results-oriented culture and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Provide technical and operational leadership for equipment and facility maintenance and improvements.
Deliver disciplined project management and product development assistance.
Regular review of batch first pass yield, production quality, distressed, obsolete, scrap, and returned material.
Troubleshoot and implement repeatability best practices.
Support investigations on equipment failures, difficulties, and deficiencies.
Interface with leadership, operators, and maintenance to ensure continuous improvement and continuous production.
Assist in the Collection of site metrics and KPI's Implementation and continued support of PIE.
Perform a job in accordance with all Tremco safety policies and procedures.

Operates tow motor.
Shop floor reporting.
Submit a batch sample to the QC lab for approval and retain it before filling.

Computer literacy is required; a basic understanding of ERP systems like SAP is helpful.
Able to work independently in a team-based lean/six sigma environment and contribute to the team's overall success.
