Under the supervision of the Senior R&D Scientist, the Research Assistant will test formulations for new product development, technology innovation, cost saving or product performance enhancement.
This is a temporary position.
Responsibilities
Work under supervision on projects that require research, formulation, analytical and mechanical testing development, and evaluation for potential new applications Enter new raw materials and formulation data into the laboratory database systems. The Machine Operator (2nd Shift) starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III).

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial engineering 2+ years' experience in manufacturing environment.
Six Sigma/lean manufacturing experience. Understanding of process control methods, flowmeters, level monitors, and other process controls within a batch manufacturing process.
Ability to read and interpret process drawings (process flow diagrams and P&ID's).
PLC with ladder logic analysis.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
PC usage with MS Office Suite (AutoCAD experience a plus), strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities
Work under supervision on projects that require research, formulation, analytical and mechanical testing development, and evaluation for potential new applications Enter new raw materials and formulation data into the laboratory database systems. The Machine Operator (3rd Shift) starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III).

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: No formal educational requirement. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
No prior work experience or training required. Previous experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment requiring speed and dexterity is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
