Our client, a well-established technology business specialising in electronic and embedded systems, are looking for a Systems Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a multidisciplinary engineering role focused on the development of application-specific embedded products, working across firmware, electronics and mechanical hardware to ensure systems meet customer requirements and deliver reliable, efficient and secure solutions.
Key responsibilities of the Systems Engineer job based in Lymington:
Support the definition of overall embedded system architecture, considering performance, scalability and power efficiency.
Interpret user and customer needs and translate them into clear technical system requirements.
Define and negotiate requirements for firmware, electronic and mechanical hardware development.

Follows product development process
Finalizes the initial concept to an Alpha Prototype design using all the same resources
Aids in refinement process of the initial prototype, incorporation into production, and customer acceptance

Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical and electrical components to precise engineering specifications.
Carry out various production processes including washing, lapping, assembly, testing, and painting.
Work from detailed instructions to deliver products to the highest quality standards.
Ensure all health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures are followed.
Contribute to a positive team environment while maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

About You
Essential:
Minimum 2-3 years consisrtant experience within a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Reliable attendance and the ability to work the rotating shift pattern.
Desirable:
Mechanical or electrical assembly experience.
Experience working to technical drawings or detailed work instructions.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
