Workshop Manager - Automotive
We are seeking a Workshop Manager for a leading provider of automotive components, specialising in the production, manufacture, re manufacture, repair and supply of high-performance parts including propshafts, driveshafts, and other essential automotive mechanical systems.

It is due to continued growth; we are seeking this skilled and experienced Workshop Manager.
As the Workshop Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our workshop, ensuring the production of high-quality automotive components.
You will manage a team of technicians, and ensure that all work meets safety, quality, and performance standards.
A strong background as an automotive technician, automotive repair or automotive engineering, with hands-on experience working with propshafts, driveshafts, and related systems, is essential for this role.
Ideal location - Feltham, Ashford (Surrey), Stanwell, Hounslow, Twickenham, Sunbury on Thames, Hampton, Teddington
Salary - Up to £40K basic - Pension - 20 days leave (plus BH 28 days total) - NO WEEKENDS
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Lead and manage the workshop team to ensure efficient operations and timely production of automotive components.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and testing of propshafts, driveshafts, and related automotive systems.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Conduct performance reviews and provide guidance and training to workshop staff.
Collaborate with other departments, including engineering and production, to meet client specifications and deadlines.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automotive components and systems.
Ensure that all parts are produced to the highest technical specifications and within industry standards.
Manage inventory and order parts required for production.
Strong technical proficiency and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and engineering issues.
Hands-on experience working with automotive systems and components is essential.
Background in automotive repair, HGV technician, or mechanics will be an advantage.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Strong understanding of workshop processes, safety standards, and quality control.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Experience with workshop management software and inventory systems is a plus.

Create or amend standard operating procedures in accordance with the results of the validation
Creating validation and related working forms
Supporting site cross-functional technical writing needs
Maintenance of Sterilisation Validation for both Gamma and Ethylene Oxide processes.
Assist in the implementation of the validation protocols and write the validation reports
Support cross-functional risk management activities
Support in the optimization of production processes
Preparation of plans for maintenance, service, calibration, re-validation and cleaning of test and production equipment
Policing and coordinating maintenance, service, calibration, re-validation and cleaning
Advise the business on current best practice in validation and keep abreast of changes
Contribute to continuous improvement projects
The Ideal Person for the Validation Engineer
Must hold a mechanical engineering or electrical engineering degree
Must have previous experience of medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Must have practical experience in manufacturing technology and quality assurance
Must have understanding of Quality Management Systems for medical
Devices (EN ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820)
Experience in validation / qualification
Experience in Project Work and/or Project Management D
Good to very good knowledge of common MS Office
Programs
Able to adhere to and communicate the company values
Must have strong communication skills able to communicate with all levels of organisation
A good team player who is able to adapt to working independently or with new or short-term teams

As an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved in developing mechanical design solutions across UK projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
You will be responsible for:
* Prepare specifications, equipment schedules, drawings, and information to installation and fully coordinated standards (RIBA Stage 5).
* Develop detailed budget costs and estimates when necessary.
* Collaborate with electrical / energy / Part L engineers for low-energy design solutions.
* Represent the company at design team and project meetings.
* Conduct site quality and legislative inspections and generate associated reports.
* Provide exceptional technical and commercial solutions.
* Conduct feasibility studies.

What we are looking for:
* Previously worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Building Services Design Engineer, Building Services Engineer or in a similar role.
* At least 4 years' experience of mechanical building services design.
* Experience as a design consultant or contractor.
* Expertise in mechanical building services/ HVAC design (e.g., domestic water services, ventilation, heating, cooling, renewables, and sustainability).
* Practical experience and understanding of TAS, Cymap, and AutoCAD.
* Knowledge of thermal modelling SAP and SBEM.
* Background in general mechanical building engineering services, mechanical detail, and performance design.
* Track record in fulfilling regulatory responsibilities linked to building regulations Part L and BREEAM.
* HNC qualification in a relevant building services field.
* Valid UK driving licence.
