Title: Chemist - Product Support (Bench Chemist/Laboratory)
Location: St.

Summary:
As a bench Chemist you will apply and interpret established scientific and engineering principles to real-world challenges, using cross disciplinary knowledge to solve increasingly complex problems.
This role requires creative, analytical thinking to uncover cause and effect relationships and develop practical, innovative solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
4-year Chemistry degree or equivalent experience.
3 years Chemistry experience.
Must pass a Jaeger Eye Test.
Physical Requirements:
Exposure to chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, Acrylics, and certain inorganic compounds.
Personal protective equipment would be utilized.
Lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must pass annual respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test as required by OSHA.
Essential Functions:
Lead and execute laboratory and research projects, including proposal development, creative formulation work, data evaluation, and delivery of clear written and oral recommendations.
Support broader research initiatives by collaborating with technical work groups and design teams.
Manage projects to meet time, quality, and budget goals; anticipate obstacles and keep work progressing smoothly.
Coordinate and oversee the work of others, including supervising technicians and resolving priority conflicts.
Maintain and share strong technical expertise in coatings technologies; train team members as needed.
Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and technical procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and PPE.

Ensures that vendors have taken their posted payments and generates YTD status reports based on vendor activity.
Manages the corporate-wide Concur Expense Reimbursement system
Manages, maintains, approves, audits and processes expense reports for payment of all DAP employees.
Maintains the integrity of the expense reimbursement system by adding and deleting associates when needed and making sure that the correct information is attached to each employee.
Applies the corporate reimbursement policies when making payments to employees to ensure proper reimbursement.
Creates rules and policies in Concur so that the system automatically audits according to our corporate policies.
Manages the Mexican General Ledger in SAP

JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Chemist - Protective Fireproofing
Location: St.
Louis, MO
Summary
As a Chemist you'll apply your scientific expertise to tackle complex formulation and research challenges, using a blend of established principles and creative problem-solving.
You'll work across a wide range of technical projects where solutions aren't always obvious, making your curiosity, innovation, and ability to think beyond the expected essential to success.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field OR equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of Chemistry experience.
Must pass a Jaeger Eye Test.
Preferred: Protective Fireproofing Chemist Experience
Physical Requirements
Exposure to chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, Acrylics, and certain inorganic compounds.
Personal protective equipment would be utilized.
Lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must pass annual respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test as required by OSHA.
Essential Functions
Lead and support R&D projects by developing proposals, generating new product or formulation ideas, conducting investigations, and applying creative problem-solving.
Execute laboratory projects, evaluate results, draw conclusions, and prepare clear written and verbal technical reports.
Collaborate with peers through participation in research programs, technical work groups, and design teams.
Manage project timelines, quality, and budget expectations; use initiative to keep work on track.
Coordinate and supervise the work of technicians and/or chemists, resolving priority conflicts as needed.
Maintain and expand technical expertise in coatings and related technologies.
Follow all safety, technical, and quality procedures in accordance with Carboline and industry standards, and ensure appropriate training and compliance of team members.
Communicate and verify technical information with internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
Work safely with hazardous materials, using proper PPE and ensuring compliance of others.
Maintain clean and safe work areas, monitor equipment condition, and identify hazards or quality issues.
Support hazard recognition and injury prevention by following all safety rules and immediately reporting incidents.
Comply with environmental regulations regarding hazardous materials and waste management, including required RCRA and contingency-plan training.
Champion the company's Safety and Quality programs.
