Title: TechnicalSales Representative
Location: South Carolina
Summary:
As a Technical Sales Representative for South Carolina, you'll drive growth across the region by building relationships, expanding market presence, and delivering expert solutions.
You'll partner with established customers while actively developing new accounts, all while serving as a trusted technical resource for coating systems and applications.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with fellow sales professionals and provide hands-on support in the field.
Minimum Requirements:
Four years of Technical or Engineering Degree specific to the Corrosion Industry (or equivalent experience)
7 years of individual sales experience in the field of Corrosion Control.
NACE Level 1 certification or equivalent.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting up to 75 pounds
Exposure to chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, Acrylics, and certain inorganic compounds.
Personal protective equipment may be utilized.
Must be able to pass respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test as required by OSHA.
Essential Functions:
Engage current and prospective customers to promote Carboline products and available services.
Deliver hands-on training and technical support to customers, specifiers, and internal sales teams.
Partner with sales colleagues to drive new product development, improvements, and modifications.
Recommend coating systems and application methods tailored to project needs.
Develop and write specifications for targeted applications.
Provide on-site technical representation, documenting surface prep and application procedures.
Secure and renew orders while collaborating with Sales Management and Customer Service to meet service expectations.
Build and execute a strategic territory sales plan focused on prospecting, new business, and repeat customer growth.
Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Monitor and report key account activity, competitor movements, and market trends to support company planning.
Prepare annual sales plans highlighting target markets and priority accounts.
Support all territory markets, including Fireproofing, Wastewater, Nuclear, Bridge & Highway, Power, Pipelines, Terminals, Pulp & Paper, Petrochemical, and Architectural.
Uphold all company safety and quality standards.

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:
Sanitation is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment of the Processing facility, surrounding area and equipment.
Reports to the Production supervisor and receives direction concerning sanitation activities.
Perform daily sanitation of all processing lines and mixing rooms.
Ensure food safety and food defense in the plant.
Promotes a safe work environment through knowledge of the sanitation program and commitment to a safe workplace for all.
Ensures that staff are informed of corporate safety requirements and that safety is a priority in day to day functions.
Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve quality and food safety performance, determine and implement corrective actions.
Follow best practices for safety, SDS guidelines, and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
Responsible for filling out daily sanitation logs, performance reports and shift paperwork.
Regularly complete training in methods of improving sanitation processes
Makes certain that all areas are kept clean of waste, debris, and liquids to avoid safety hazards
Ensures that at the end of the shift all documentation pertinent to sanitation.
Maintains effective communications between the Manager and shift supervisors.

Must possess good reading, writing and math skills.

What will you do?

What will you do?

Deliver customer support through industrial trials, mill audits, special projects, data analysis, and detailed reporting to retain existing customers and attract new ones Compile and analyze industrial trial process data, and prepare detailed reports providing conclusions and action items from industrial trial runs. Keep thorough and updated records of activity history with active and potential cement additive customers. Design and execution of plant industrial trials and mill audits. Maintenance and operation of portable pump equipment inventory to utilize during industrial trials. Collaborate with the Cement Additives Technical Manager and Cement Lab Manager to develop new products and enhance existing lines based on market trends, competitive analysis, and industrial trial results. Work collaboratively with Euclid Chemical Cement Additives Lab team in the development and improvement of laboratory ball mill methodologies for testing materials.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical) or chemistry - master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cement manufacturing process control or quality management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge and understanding of cement manufacturing, cement chemistry, and raw and finish mill circuit operation. Basic understanding of cement additives chemistries. Ability to interpret lab outputs (e.g., XRD, clinker microscopy, isothermal calorimetry, and physical test results) to develop customer-specific strategies and product recommendations. Proficiency with cement standards (ASTM, CSA, etc.). Strong knowledge of milling equipment, particle classifiers, circuit configurations, and pyro processes for optimizing clinker performance. Deliver customer support through industrial trials, mill audits, special projects, data analysis, and detailed reporting to retain existing customers and attract new ones Compile and analyze industrial trial process data, and prepare detailed reports providing conclusions and action items from industrial trial runs. Keep thorough and updated records of activity history with active and potential cement additive customers. Design and execution of plant industrial trials and mill audits. Maintenance and operation of portable pump equipment inventory to utilize during industrial trials. Education and Experience:

Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge and understanding of cement manufacturing, cement chemistry, and raw and finish mill circuit operation. Basic understanding of cement additives chemistries.
