As a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Sheet Metal Worker, you will be producing high-quality metal components and supporting the workshop team in a hands-on fabrication environment.

You will be responsible for
* Manufacturing parts to engineering drawings and assisting colleagues with production tasks
* Operating machinery including shears, CNC punch, CNC press brakes, notchers, or similar equipment
* Supporting the fabrication team to ensure smooth daily operations
* Packing and transporting finished components to other sites using a company vehicle
* Contributing to all aspects of a busy sheet metal production environment
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop
What we are looking for
* Previously worked as a Sheet Metal Fabricator, Fabricator, Sheet Metal Worker, Press Brake Operator, Machine Operator, Metal Fabricator, CNC Operator or in a similar role.
* Preferably have 2 years of experience working in a production environment
* Ideally experienced with a press brake, but competence with any of the following is also acceptable: CNC punch, shear, notcher, or similar machinery
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Physically fit to handle manual tasks involved in the role
* Full UK driving licence
Training provided for the right candidate.

* Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
* Friday: 07:00 - 12:00

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Machine Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III).
The level will be determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues resulting in efficient cycles and minimal downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures. Follow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machine(s). Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards. Ensure product meets certain tolerances and specifications. Perform routine inspections per quality standards. Understand production instructions. Maintain accurate paperwork. Package, label, and store products. Cross-train on other production functions as business need dictates. Clean and maintain assigned area to ensure proper functionality. Report and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues. Participate in the continuous improvement process. If appropriate, set up and operate various off-line and secondary equipment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
No formal educational requirement.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
No prior experience or training required.

The Team Leader (Manufacturing) is proficient in all areas of production and efficiently & correctly performs all duties in addition to more complex maintenance and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works under minimal supervision
Adjusts machines to achieve production goals
Collaborates with machine operators in production process
Assists in carrying out production growth strategy
Troubleshoots complex processing problems with little or no assistance
Actively participates in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
Determines priorities and creates procedures to meet objectives of the plant
Ensures maintenance is completed according to Preventative Maintenance Plan
Cross trains on all production areas in the facility (i.e.

Supports and validates the work of machine operators by answering questions, preparing production lines, and providing general direction

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Starting in the Felt Department or Roofing Department of the East 80th Cleveland Manufacturing Plant, the Operator will start up, troubleshoot, and operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and routinely, while achieving or exceeding standard levels of production, according to specifications.
This position can turn into a regular, full-time, union position if the employee completes the probationary period.
During the probationary period, this position will work on the 1st Shift.
If the employee successfully completes the probationary period and becomes a regular employee, the position will most likely change to 2nd or 3rd shift, depending on the Plant's needs.
3-SHIFT FACILITY:
1st Shift: 6 a.m.
to 2:30 p.m.
2nd Shift: 2 p.m.
to 10:30 p.m.
(Shift Differential of $0.75)
3rd Shift: 10 p.m.
to 6:30 a.m.
(Shift Differential of $1.00)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs work safely, according to safety rules and guidelines, and follows Tremco's Escalation Policy for any safety or quality concerns.
Communicates with Team Lead and/or Supervisor during shift changes and throughout shift.
Understands and operates the HMI at the various stations along the line to keep the line operating safely and efficiently.
Monitors weight, speed, and other metrics along the line.
Operates forklift to move raw materials, load carrier, and move finished product.
Makes raw material batches in the appropriate mixer(s), according to specifications.
Performs quality control tests on the batches, per established guidelines.
Ensures proper labels are being used on the taping machine.
Fills appropriate-sized pails, drums, or totes, labels filled items, and places pails/drums on pallet.
Performs daily housekeeping/cleaning of immediate area and other surrounding areas and departments, as needed.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
No prior education or experience required.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or similar industry experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic knowledge of mathematics-i.e., addition, subtraction, fractions, etc.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
Forklift Certificate and operations experience preferred.
