Lighting Designer
Location: Hertfordshire (office-based, hybrid working available following probation)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lighting Designer to join a well-established UK specialist in exterior and infrastructure lighting solutions.
This permanent role sits within the Technical Department and is based at the company's office in Hertfordshire, offering the chance to work on a wide range of technically challenging and high-profile lighting projects.
This role is ideal for an experienced lighting design professional with strong technical expertise, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities of the Lighting Designer (based in Hertfordshire):
Produce detailed lighting designs using industry-standard software including Agi32, Lighting Reality, Relux and Dialux (training available where required).
Work closely with clients and contractors to understand project requirements and deliver effective lighting solutions.
Review and refine existing lighting designs to improve performance, efficiency, and optimise luminaire quantities.
Interpret and apply relevant standards and regulations associated with exterior and infrastructure lighting.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure technical designs align with commercial and project objectives.
Maintain clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Undertake occasional UK site visits, including work outside normal office hours where required.
Provide wider technical and departmental support as needed.
Requirements of the Lighting Designer (based in Hertfordshire):
Proven experience in lighting design, ideally within a technical or commercial environment.
Proficiency in professional lighting design software such as Agi32, Lighting Reality, Relux and Dialux.
Strong understanding of lighting principles, standards, and performance metrics.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Attend trade shows, regional meetings, and key customer events

As a Nurse your key duties include:
To actively participate in the provision of the resident care philosophy in the care home in order to ensure the highest possible level of resident service at all times
Inform and discuss with Care Home Manager any problems regarding resident care
Take responsibility for the identification, initial management and escalation of any safeguarding or Health & Safety concerns, efficiently and promptly
Review standard and practices and recommend improvements where necessary through discussion with Care Home Manager
Complete and maintain accurate and realistic care plans for each resident
Actively participate as a team member of the Care Home
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
A nurse with the ability to lead a team of care staff
Passionate about delivering great care and supporting the residents and their families
A team player who engages well with others
