A leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Slough area, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team.
This role offers the chance to work closely with laboratory-based scientists, providing essential support services.
As a Laboratory Technician, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the laboratory operates smoothly and efficiently.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Laboratory Technician will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1.
As the Lab Technician, you will complete of routine equipment calibration checks and ensuring all equipment is ready for use.
2.
As the Lab Technician, you will generate and technical review of simple analytical buffers for laboratory methods and processes.
3.
As the Lab Technician, you will manage of laboratory consumables, including stock checks, ordering from internal stores, and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the washroom environment.
4.
As the Lab Technician, you will process laboratory deliveries, including receipt, storage, notifications, and dispensing of buffers.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Laboratory Technician, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

Relevant degree in a scientific discipline.
2.
Proven industry experience in a laboratory setting.
3.
A working knowledge and practical experience with laboratory equipment calibration, buffer preparation, and consumables management.

Medical Devices Mechanical Engineer - SolidWorks - Cambridge
A growing Medical Devices group is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist in the development of life-saving Medical Devices.
Based in South Cambridgeshire, you will utilize SolidWorks for the CAD design of new Medical Devices.
You will collaborate with inventors, physicists, engineers, and scientists to create these life-saving medical devices, and your CAD design skills will be crucial in the development of these innovative Medical Devices.
Ideally, your past or current experience would involve developing medical devices to ISO 13485 standards.
However, if your experience lies in CAD design for the life sciences, pharmaceuticals, scientific instrumentation, or wearable tech sectors, we would still like to hear from you.
This role will not be solely computer-based.
We require you to have a hands-on engineering element to your mechanical engineering skills, particularly for tasks such as jig assembly, testing, instrument usage, and other essential skills for prototyping and testing the new technologies you will develop.
Knowledge of manufacturing techniques will be valuable, as you will use this knowledge when designing to ensure that the products not only function but can also be manufactured.
While a relevant degree is expected, industry experience of at least a few years will be more crucial.
