As the Management Accountant, you will lead a team of 2 Accounts Assistants, overseeing the month-end and management accounts processes.
Your role will involve MI Analysis, standardised costings, bills of materials, cost of sales, VAT Returns, Year-End tasks, supervision of payroll/transactional finance and Business partnering with the U.S.
operational teams.

THE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
Own full month-end management accounts pack: P&L, balance sheet, variance commentary & analysis
Prepare US payroll via ADP/BACS; ensure timely, accurate completion and compliance
Reconcile monthly balance sheet, including debtors and creditors to identify risks
Perform monthly job costings to align costs with revenue
Maintain full trial balance and post journals (accruals/prepayments/depreciation)
Update and enforce consistent fixed-asset register and accounting policies
Liaise with external partners for compliance and filings
Prepare audit deliverables and provide ongoing support during audit cycles
Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
Participate in finance projects and process improvement initiatives
Collaborate with finance team and commercial colleagues (especially in the US)
Perform any ad-hoc finance duties requested by management
THE PERSON:
ACA, ACCA and CIMA Qualified, with 2 to 3 Years + PQE, in a Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, Cost Accountant role, or similar, within a Manufacturing or Engineering business.
Must have hands-on Management Accounting experience with practical knowledge of Balance Sheet reconciliations and P&L is essential
Solid communication skills and the ability to lead 2 transactional professionals
Experience with Year End, External Audit, VAT
Experience of Sage and/or ERP Systems, such as SAP, D365/Business Central or Similar, would be an advantage

Your role as Health and Safety Manager will include:
*Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental systems across all sites, ensuring compliance with legislation and continuous improvement of safety practices.
*Plan and carry out routine inspections, manage risk/COSHH assessments, and ensure safe systems of work are established and effectively communicated.
*Oversee accident and near-miss investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions while fostering a proactive safety culture.
*Deliver or coordinate health and safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for staff and contractors, maintaining clear communication of safety policies throughout the organisation.
*Ensure adequate welfare facilities, fire safety precautions, and Construction Phase Plans are in place; oversee lifting operations, PPE use, and compliance with PUWER/LOLER regulations.
The successful Health and Safety Manager will need:
*Experience managing health and safety in commercial or civil construction environments, with a strong grasp of the UK legislation and Approved Codes of Practice
*Serious about relocating to the channel islands with limited financial ties allowing relocating to be within a 1-2 months
*Proven expertise in risk assessments, site inspections, and safety systems, supported by relevant qualifications; NEBOSH (preferred), First Aid/CPR certified
*Driving licence

Our Manufacturing client is looking for SMT Machine Operator to join their fast-growing business to support within the pick and place department.
As an SMT Machine Operator you will be: setting up, operating, and maintaining surface mount technology equipment to assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) to meet production targets and quality standards.
Key requirements to be a successful SMT Machine Operator:
- Good working knowledge of IPC-A-610 & IPC J-STD-001 preferred
- Awareness & understanding of ESD Controls
- Operate a variety of Pick and Place SMT machines
- Reading & understanding complex drawings and instructions
- Awareness & understanding of AS9100/ISO9001
- Sound knowledge of SMT assembly equipment & assembly processes
- PC/IT literate, using PCs and tablets as required
Duties for the successful SMT Machine Operator:
- To build PCBs using SMT equipment IAW work instructions & procedures provided
- Set up and operate SMT machines (e.g., pick-and-place machines, screen printers, reflow ovens)
- Load components into feeders and verify against the Bill of Materials
- Check work completed for compliance before passing to the next stage
- Ensure job history is accurately maintained/reported on all route cards the employee works on
- Proactively advise management of any issues that may affect delivery & or quality
- Ensure that all Health and Safety, housekeeping, quality and environmental policies and procedures are adhered to
The role is paying from £13.50 - £15ph (DOE)
Offering a Temporary to Permanent/Permanent position.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7:30-16:30 and Friday 7:30 to 12:30.
