The primary result expected from the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to ensure the timely and accurate flow of materials and components through the facility by directing and coordinating the daily activities of the Shipping, Receiving, and Salvage departments under the guidance of the Materials Manager.
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information.
Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand or using forklifts, and other equipment.
Enforce health and safety regulations.
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
Observe work and monitor indicators to ensure that operators conform to appropriate standards.
Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
Interpret specifications and company policies and procedures for workers.

The Batch Maker is responsible for processing Tremco Sealants and/or Roofing products by carefully reading and following the process order card.
This position maintains area readiness to produce.

Once a batch is complete, the operator will test for quality, adjust as needed to assure specifications are met by following written standard operating procedures, and then fill product into specified packaging and palletize pails or drums.

Transfers materials, supplies, and products between work areas.
Discharges blenders of powder when necessary.

Completes cleaning logs and notifies quality control for hygiene testing.
Records operational and production data on specified forms/production documents.

Tasks PROFILE: Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Monitor machinery used in the production process and assist machine operators. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards, BOM, and test. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using non-motorized equipment. Stop machines when malfunctions occur, clear jams, and report unresolved malfunctions to a machine operator, lead, maintenance, and then management. Secure finished packaged items by gluing, stapling, wrapping, taping, or attaching fastener. Mark or tag identification on parts. Load and unload materials, product, or packaging from machines, containers, conveyors, and conveyances. Help team members by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas and equipment. Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) per requirements.
May require recording information such as weight, count, time, scrap and date packaged. Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels to ensure all shifts requirements are met.
