JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary result expected from the Senior Production Supervisor is to supervise the facility to ensure the manufacture of paint and related products by organizing and executing the production work schedule (as dictated via the production plan) to maintain a safe, efficient and organized working environment, and to provide leadership/guidance to all production personnel, including shift supervisors and assistant supervisors.
Enforce safety and environmental regulations.
Direct and coordinate the activities of associates engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as machine operators, and batchmakers.
Read and analyze BOMs (Bill of Materials) work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Confer with all supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect non-conforming finished products.
Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new associates, or assign associates to experienced workers for training.
Observe work and monitor activities to ensure that all associates conform to production or processing standards.
Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems or complaints.
Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.

Perform testing of production batches, incoming raw materials, finished goods, and components to determine conformance to specifications. Judge as "fit for release" production batches, incoming raw materials, finished goods, and components that are in conformance to all specifications and visually acceptable. Determine and communicate batch adjustments for any batches that do not conform to requirements, utilizing batch history, adjustment guidelines, and consultation with the Senior QC Technician, Assistant Supervisor, or QC Manager. Complete work functions within Chemical production operations.
Responsible for the quality blending of finished products and the bulk, drum, and pail packaging of products.
Full understanding of Chemical Hazards specific to area assigned to, including PPE.
General forklift duties.
The core responsibility for blending and packaging of products demands the use of mechanical and electrical equipment such as pumps, mixing equipment, and automation control systems.
Completion and compliance of all safety initiatives and certification requirements including all near miss and incident reporting.
Accountable for the data entry of production tickets, good receipts, and shipping documentation.
Daily inspection of work area and monthly document reporting.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or equivalent.
