JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Building Sciences team will participate in different projects with various scopes of work.
The Field Engineer is responsible for the organization, research, and documentation of cross-departmental assignments supporting the continued growth and operations of Pure Air Control Services, a Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc.
division.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports the Building Sciences Project Manager with test and balance research, consultation, operations policy generation, and quality issues.
Adjust systems controls to settings recommended by the vendor, conduct measurement tests, and discuss system malfunctions with system users to isolate the problems.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Coordinate with multi-disciplined teams, including sales personnel and field team, to develop a scope of work and estimate the cost of a project.
Organize material and complete reports according to pre-defined standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
Evaluate current processes and develop innovative approaches for improvement. Write and develop in-house training materials supporting the staff and franchise partners.
Contacts and communicates directly with all levels of company management, staff members, and clients.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Industry certificates are preferred but not required. Ability to obtain Engineer Intern certification preferred but not required. Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field (preferred) 3+ years of experience in the HVAC industry, including Test and Balance or Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems. Familiarity with current building, energy, and mechanical codes and standards.
Understanding of Indoor Air Quality and how it affects the building occupants.
Understanding of HVAC design principles, including heating load, air change, and ventilation requirements, and applying different HVAC systems (Constant volume, VAV, 100% OA, ERV units, etc.). Understanding of HVAC engineering fundamentals, including load calculations, conceptual systems analysis through construction documentation design, equipment design and layout, and duct and pipe sizing.
Customer service oriented. Proficient computer skills and strong technical writing skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Well organized and possess superior time management abilities to support several projects simultaneously. Self-motivated and self-directed while remaining a team player.
Ability to travel out of state up to 15% of the time.
The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $58,000 and $75,000.

My client, an established firm of PQS with offices abroad and in London now seeks a Quantity Surveyor to join their City of London office.
You will have the opportunity of working on both UK and overseas projects to include HNW private residential, hotels and some other large projects.
They are keen to find an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who will have around 3 - 5 years QS experience, ideally gained with another PQS.
You may either be working towards taking the APC or be recently chartered with the RICS.

My client is a firm of PQS with a good range of clients mainly in the private sector.
They are a large firm of construction consultants with clients both in the UK, the Caribbean and the Middle East.
THE CANDIDATE
You will ideally be a Quantity Surveyor who is currently working for a firm of PQS.
You will need to have at least 3 years or more PQS experience doing both pre and post contract duties.
You will have a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying which should be RICS accredited.
You will either be working towards taking the APC or you may be recently chartered.
You should be able to work with limited supervision but as part of a friendly team.
You should have a stable work record.
You must have excellent English both written and spoken along with good IT skills.

The Role of the Specifications Sales Manager
Your focus is to promote the purchase of high-quality lighting products—including lighting, lighting controls, and luminaires—while actively creating demand through strategic project hunting.
Key sectors include Education, Healthcare, Local Authorities, MOD, and MOJ.
You’ll be responsible for influencing decision-makers such as ME contractors, consultants/specifiers, architects, local authorities, and end users, ensuring their products are specified and ultimately delivered via the appropriate distribution channels.
Develop and maintain strong relationships across your patch to drive specifications and close project opportunities.
Collaborate closely with and support Lighting Designers, ensuring optimal product solutions are offered and aligned with project requirements.
Consistently seek out new project opportunities and convert specifications into sales.

The Ideal Person for the Specifications Sales Manager
The ideal candidate will come from a lighting background, particularly with experience in external sales.
This role is well-suited for someone who may already be working with lighting contractors, installers, lighting designers, wholesalers, or as a driven sales professional eager to transition into the specification side of the industry.
Proven ability to build strong, lasting relationships with both consultants and end users.
Ideally has a working knowledge of the project sales process, and some exposure to sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Local Authorities, MOD, and MOJ.
Confident communicator with the ability to influence specifications and secure project wins.

Interior Outfitting Project Manager Southampton Oversee and execute the management of intricate tasks associated with marine and interior outfit projects, from initial commercial handover to on-site implementation and project closure.
Collaborate closely with project delivery teams during planning and execution to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within financial constraints.
For smaller projects, take full responsibility for delivery.
Work across various departments to ensure tasks align with overall project objectives. Key Responsibilities
Scope Management: Fully comprehend the final project scope and take ownership of designated tasks or projects following approvals from relevant parties.
Resource Planning: Coordinate with stakeholders to procure resources, materials, and labor, with prior approval from the Operations Director.
Client Communication: Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Leadership in Meetings: Facilitate project meetings, from initiation to completion, including routine and ad-hoc site discussions.
Performance Monitoring: Independently oversee and evaluate project performance against specifications, budget, and timelines.
