JOB DESCRIPTION
As our Plant Process Engineer you will control internal processes to manufacture polyurethane products, protective paints, and coatings by defining and analyzing the manufacturing process of both blending and filling operations for improvement in quality, safety, and efficiency, and creating, improving, and maintaining manufacturing Process Instructions (PI) and salvage/rework integration.
This role is not restricted to a desk with plenty of visibility and work done with the internal team and contractors out on the production floor.
You will work directly with Operations, Safety, Maintenance, Controls, and Leadership to troubleshoot processes, execute projects, and make the plant safer, more reliable, and more efficient.
It is primarily first shift, but some flexibility is required.
We are a PSM facility.
Here's what you can expect every day:
Develop safety procedures to be employed by workers operating equipment or working in close proximity to on-going chemical reactions.
Troubleshoot problems with chemical manufacturing processes.
Evaluate chemical equipment and processes to identify ways to optimize performance or to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Conduct research to develop new and improved chemical manufacturing processes.
Determine most effective arrangement of operations such as mixing, crushing, heat transfer, distillation, and drying.
Perform tests and monitor performance of processes throughout stages of production to determine degree of control over variables such as temperature, density, specific gravity, and pressure.
Design and plan layout of equipment.
Prepare estimate of production costs and production progress reports for management.
Design and execute capital expense projects to improve processes
Required Experience:
BS in Chemical Engineering preferred.
Industrial and Electrical Engineers with hands-on mechanical & chemical experience will also be considered.
2+ years of engineering job experience.
Good process management, written and verbal communication skills are required along with a high level of initiative.
Demonstrated strong leadership skills, in project and people management in a continuous improvement environment in the areas of production, safety, quality and Lean manufacturing principles.
Salary Target Range: $85,000- $105,000; bonus eligible

As our Production Associate, you will help Rust-Oleum deliver our products on time by operating, monitoring, and adjusting filling and packaging equipment to safely produce high-quality products while maintaining efficiency, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring accurate production records.
TASKS PROFILE:
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
Review job orders to determine details such as quantities to be filled, production times, stock specifications, BOM's, and SKU sequences.
Set and adjust speed, temperature, product flow, positions and tolerances of equipment.
Operate equipment at most efficient speed to ensure proper quality and output.
Monitor filling equipment to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
Stop machines when malfunctions occur, clear jams, and report unresolved malfunctions to a machine operator, lead, maintenance, and then management.
Change over or adjust equipment to improve performance and quality, using knobs, hand wheels, and/or hand tools.
Inspect and examine products for quality, packaging accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects.
Secure finished packaged items by gluing, stapling, wrapping, taping, or attaching fastener.
Load and unload materials, product, or packaging from machines, containers, conveyors, and conveyances.
Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) per requirements.
May require recording information such as weight, count, time, scrap and date packaged.
Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels to ensure all shifts requirements are met.
Responsibility for the equipment performance, efficient changeovers, operation, and preventative maintenance.
Ensure accurate counts of labels used and scrapped; and ensure appropriate inventory transactions are completed.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Assists with application and monitoring of established quality procedures and methods for production batches and new raw materials.
Compiles, tabulates and summarizes QC data for analysis.
Prepares and communicates variables and deviations from prescribed standards of quality.
Maintains statistical records having to do with quality, nature and causes of defects in D365.
Expedites and follows up changes to allow for prescribed quality standards.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
