Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the QHSE Manager will own the end-to-end Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental agenda across factory, warehouse, laboratory, and customer-site environments.

Key responsibilities of the QHSE Manager include:
Quality
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System in line with ISO9001 and ISO13485
- Embed quality controls into production, engineering change, and product release processes
- Manage internal audits, non-conformances, CAPA, and continuous improvement activity
- Partner with Engineering, Production, and Service teams on validation, calibration, traceability, and document control
- Own supplier quality governance and escalation processes
- Establish and control production conditions to meet customer and quality requirements
- Champion a strong quality culture across the business
- Deliver targeted QHSE training and competency programmes
- Provide clear, data-driven reporting to senior leadership
Health and Safety
- Oversee the H&S framework across workshop, warehouse, and field-based operations
- Implement safe systems of work, RAMS, PPE standards, and incident reporting processes
- Conduct risk assessments, accident investigations, and statutory reporting
- Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation and industry best practice
- Promote a safe, efficient, and positive working environment
Compliance and Environmental Governance
- Maintain ISO14001 and environmental management systems
- Track and report environmental KPIs including waste, emissions, and energy usage
- Lead environmental and sustainability improvement initiatives
- Maintain audit readiness across ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485, and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Act as the main contact for certification bodies, regulators, and customer auditors
- Ensure documentation, records, and evidence remain audit-ready year-round

JOB DESCRIPTION
Objective: The Product Manager leads the management of our product portfolio (lifecycle, stage-gate processes, etc.), develops segment strategies, and drives performance on strategic initiatives.
Their focus is to advocate for the customer and guide the organization on portfolio strategy and tactics.
This includes understanding and prioritizing customer and market needs, defining requirements, leading cross-functional teams, managing the product lifecycle, and ensuring our product meets both customer expectations and business objectives.
Core Responsibilities
Product Portfolio
Translate customer and business needs into clear product requirements and specifications.
Work closely with technology, operations, and other teams to ensure requirements are well understood and feasible. Guide product through its lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch evaluation, and end-of-life decisions.
Lead the product project priorities and a disciplined stage-gate process, in alignment with the company's strategic goals and initiatives. Contribute to segment strategy, including market research/trends/assessments, customer feedback on demand/needs/success factors, and evaluating competitive alternatives to inform product positioning. Analyze portfolio for opportunities to remove inefficiencies, implement strategic pricing, and other benefits. Work closely with commercial and marketing teams to develop effective communication on product features and placements. Oversee project management aspects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and successful product releases.
Reporting & Communication
Prepare periodic reports on projects/initiatives, including results vs expected performance metrics. Communicate frequently with leadership on priorities and expectations. Provide collaboration with RPM businesses.
Knowledge
Stay current with segment trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs.
Contribute to improving profitability across all segments/portfolios. Develop knowledge and share best practices with leaders and functional teams.
Skills and Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or technical field or equivalent experience.
Experience:
7+ years of experience in a product/portfolio manager role, preferably in the core company markets or a related sector.
Core Skills:
Strong ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders, including senior executives. Thorough knowledge of portfolio, value propositions, and product manager skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

I am searching for an experienced Production Engineer for an internationally respected and very successful manufacturing business based near to Exeter.
Reporting to the Lean Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for supporting production throughout the in-house metal shop and assembly areas alongside the external supply chain.
The role is focussing on the support of existing product ranges and the introduction of new products.
You will help to development supporting systems to improve quality and sustainability of our client's product range.
The role will include the definition and delivery of strategic targets across the business.
Working within the Production Engineering and Lean Team, you will ensure successful identification and implementation of best manufacturing practise.
You will help review the suitability for manufacture of new products and maintain quality that exceeds customer expectation.
Duties include:
Identify and present ideas for improving production in order to improve profitability, quality, throughput and H&S.
Conduct feasibility studies on continuous improvement ideas generated from within Production, gained sign off and implement those projects.
Work closely with the Lean team to develop and implement best practices, routines and solutions to improve production rates, quality and output.
Support the Production Team in evaluating the strategic development of on-site manufacturing to achieve business goals.
Assist in the production of operating instructions.
Assist in the coordination and management of new products internally and externally to support the manufacturing team where required.
Produce written reports where required.
You will undertake continuous training and development.
Ensure adherence in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
Participate in new product reviews to ensure that only the most production efficient designs are released into production.
Participate in Change Request reviews to ensure that the best and most cost-efficient solutions are adopted without having a negative impact on safety or quality standards.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
Work as part of the production engineering team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements.
Stay current and up to date on any technology changes that may affect manufacturing and advise of any impact.
Liaise and communicate with other departments, suppliers, and other service providers as and when required.
Required skills and attributes:

Qualifications and experience:
HNC or HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline, as a minimum.
Experience of implementing manufacturing improvements and continuous improvement projects within batch manufacturing businesses.
Experience of working with sheet metal fabrication with an understanding of related manufacturing processes and limitations.
Experience of quality management including proven use of DFMEA & PFMEA.
Project management experience and a track record of identifying and successfully implementing change.
Previous involvement in new product introductions would be beneficial.
Experience of Value Analysis and Value Engineering techniques, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping and 8D would be beneficial but is NOT a prerequisite.
