Zest Optical are working alongside a leading optical lens manufacturer to recruit an Optical Assistant / Customer Service Advisor at their Milton Keynes site.
This role is ideal for an experienced Optical Assistant who enjoys building relationships with patients and colleagues, but is now looking to move into a customer service role within optics.
You'll be working with a premium brand known for supplying high-quality ophthalmic lenses to independent opticians across the UK.
Optical Customer Service Advisor - Key Responsibilities
Handle incoming enquiries from opticians regarding pricing, product availability, and lead times
Build professional relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are understood and met
Receive and process orders accurately via phone, email, and online systems
Make proactive calls to keep customers informed and promote relevant products and upgrades
Recommend product promotions and special offers to customers over the phone
Contribute to departmental targets, promotions, and incentives
Requirements
Previous experience as an Optical Assistant, Optical Advisor, or in a similar optical role (essential)
Basic practical knowledge of optics, lenses, and frames
Previous customer service experience
Confident using Microsoft Office applications and customer/order management systems
Strong attention to detail with the ability to process orders accurately and efficiently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Personable, professional, and proactive in approach

* Developing CAD concepts using CATIA V5 (surface, solid, and 2D) based on customer data and packaging constraints.

What We Are Looking For
* Previously worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Designer, Product Design Engineer, or in a similar role within an engineering design and manufacturing setting.
* Prior experience in automotive, Chemical Process, Mining, Rail, Aerospace, Marine, military vehicle or in similar sector
* Have background in new product introduction (NPI) and process development
* Proficiency in CATIA V5 for 3D modelling and 2D engineering drawings.
* Strong knowledge of GD&T, datum structures, and manufacturing processes.
* A degree or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering (or equivalent technical experience).
* Familiarity with APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Lean manufacturing methods.
* Practical knowledge of the automotive industry, with experience in Tier 1 or OEM environments.
* Knowledge of IATF 16949 and associated quality management systems

This position is responsible for managing, performing and assisting all facets of HVAC remediation, duct cleaning and microbial mitigation.
This position is responsible for all Project personnel and their on-site training.
The Field inspection of projects and recommendations / reports to Project Manager
Job estimation and assistance with change orders
This position has contact with all levels of PACS and BRS management
Demonstrates superior core competencies in IAQ duct cleaning, HVAC cleaning, mold remediation
Position should be dependent on the PACS Project Manager regarding day to day operations.
NADCA certification required.
Must obtain certification within 90-120 days of employment.
Additional Certifications will be required during on-going employment with PACS, such as IICRC, ACAC - CMRS, CMR or CRMR and State Mold Remediator/Assessor
Capable of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and plumbing problems
Manages Inventory Control and usage
Understands blueprints and HVAC symbols
This position will also have interaction with client contacts (i.e.: facilities personnel, tenants).
Read, be familiar with and adhere to the PACS Employee Handbook and Customer Service Guide
Read, be familiar with and adhere to the OSHA Policy and any Health and Safety Manuals/Training
OTHER:
Position works in BRS Department where contaminants exist.
Applicable OSHA and other regulatory Safety equipment must be worn according to company policy.
Travel may be as high as 100%.
Present territories cover national and international destinations.
Overnight absences required, typically, four nights per week.The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $55,000 and $68,000.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Attend and understand daily onsite safety brief prior to the start of the WTI project.
Inspect and ensure safety of surroundings, equipment and tools and identify and discuss any safety concerns.
Execution of project tasks with knowledge of expected production rates, ensuring tools and materials are used safely and efficiently to complete the assigned project. Complete the project per the scope or work, design and specification of contract & engineering documents as directed by foreman.
Responsible to aid foreman in tracking and monitoring project inventory. Maintains highest quality on-site customer relations in projecting positive image. OSHA, DOT, EEO/Affirmative Action, EPA, etc. Provides management with earliest possible notification of real and potential job problems. Accepts responsibility for the care, custody, and use of company equipment, material, tools, and other assets as assigned by the WTI Commercial Foreman. Understands and executes proper material and equipment usage, maintenance, and storage. Perform any other duty and/or project as required or assigned by the WTI Foreman and/or Commercial Business Manager. Maintains ethical business conduct.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert mechanical maintenance and repair support with a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery.

You will be responsible for:
* Delivering mechanical maintenance across CNC and precision engineering equipment
* Carrying out repairs to mechanical components such as gearboxes, shafts, pumps, drive chains and bearings

* Possess hands-on experience maintaining CNC machinery
* Skilled in fault finding and repair of multi-axis CNC machines
* Working knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens control systems
* A recognised qualification such as HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
* Up-to-date understanding of current and emerging maintenance technologies
Shift:
* Timings: 6am - 2pm
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week
