GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Analytical Lab by performing analytical testing under the supervision of the analytical scientist.
Testing will include running FTIR, TGA, DSC, GC-MS, GPC, and other analytical equipment.

Responsible for routine testing with various analytical instruments, FTIR, TGA, DSC, GC-MS, GPC, and other analytical equipment.
Polymer development efforts through material chart erization under supervision
Conduct laboratory testing and evaluations of monomers.

Maintain accurate lab documentation and follow safety protocols.
Assist in general lab organization and material preparation.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior in good academic standing, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry at an accredited college or university.
Analytical and Organic Chemistry 2 coursework required, and polymer chemistry classes preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Experience within college laboratories is preferred/encouraged but not required.

Essential Skills/Experience:
Experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
First class degree holder in a related field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering).
Proficient in Python and SQL; experience with Azure and Databricks is a plus.
Knowledge of time-series, financial, and alternative datasets.
Experience supporting investment or business teams in fast-paced environments.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex insights clearly.
Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of delivering high-quality work independently.
Core Responsibilities:
Collaborate with investment teams to leverage data for decision-making and insight generation.

We are seeking an intern to assist in our state of the art R&D facility in Greensboro, NC.
The intern will assist senior scientists in exploring a high reward pigment dispersion initiative.
This project is approaching the batch-making stage.
We need a dependable and resourceful scientist to assist with bench work, testing, and documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create lab batch samples using dispersion mixer and ball mill.
Create and test samples using equipment such as rheometers and spectrophotometers.
Document and communicate results to team leaders and managers.
Adhere to pre-determined testing timeframes.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Rising sophomore or junior attending advanced studies in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field at a credited university or college.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Some lab experience preferred, but willing to train.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Dependable
Willing to learn
Inquisitive
Microsoft Office Suite.
Statistical software, such as JMP, would be a plus but not necessary.
WORK LOCATION:
The intern will work onsite at our state of the art R&D facility in Greensboro, NC.
