GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Junior Mechanical Engineer provides engineering support to the program and/or area to ensure the product is processed in accordance with customer and division quality requirements while maintaining production flow.
Charged with assisting with the development and maintenance of systems to ensure that all products manufactured by the plant meet customer specifications and achieve superior reliability levels.
Responsible for investigating and implementing new process technology at the plant.
The Junior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing the plant.
This position is responsible for influencing the development of preventative maintenance programs at the facility, assisting in work area design, plant layout, visual control, metric implementation, material flow, process tracking, and communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of the finished product.
Participate in plant metric reporting.
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities as detailed in the facility site plan to resolve any production problems that may occur, maximize product consistency, and minimize cost.
Design measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and in pilot plant operations.
Use SAP to monitor production/business functions.
Provides engineering support for all operations in the plant.
Recommend modifications to current processes and equipment; document and follow up with engineers responsible for the modifications.
Works with the plant engineers, maintenance, and facilities to influence the direction of preventative maintenance best practices.
Support a high-performance results-oriented culture and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Provide technical and operational leadership for equipment and facility maintenance and improvements.
Deliver disciplined project management and product development assistance.
Regular review of batch first pass yield, production quality, distressed, obsolete, scrap, and returned material.
Troubleshoot and implement repeatability best practices.
Support investigations on equipment failures, difficulties, and deficiencies.
Interface with leadership, operators, and maintenance to ensure continuous improvement and continuous production.
Assist in the Collection of site metrics and KPI's Implementation and continued support of PIE.
Perform a job in accordance with all Tremco safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's degree (B.
S.) in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Key Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial coatings with demonstrated expertise in liquid coating technologies and strong working knowledge of powder coating systems.
Extensive knowledge of industrial finishing processes including pretreatment, application equipment, curing technologies, and process optimization.
Experience in performing technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis in manufacturing environments.

The Role: Senior HVAC Design Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to take a leading role in the design and delivery of complex building systems across a diverse portfolio of projects.
As a Senior HVAC Design Engineer, you will provide technical leadership, support multidisciplinary project teams, and ensure the successful delivery of high-performance mechanical systems that meet client objectives and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HVAC design and coordination of large-scale MEP projects
- Design innovative heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and mechanical building systems
- Deliver projects across sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, biotechnology, transportation, mission-critical, and advanced technology facilities
- Develop energy-efficient and sustainable mechanical engineering solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, attending meetings and providing technical guidance
- Mentor and support junior engineers and design staff
- Collaborate closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and MEP leadership teams
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
- Support project planning, resource management, and overall project delivery
What We're Looking For Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent
- 7+ years of HVAC or mechanical building services design experience within an MEP consulting environment
- Proven experience leading project teams and mentoring engineers
- Strong project management experience within the MEP sector
- Healthcare facility design experience, including HCAI compliance knowledge
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong understanding of HVAC design principles, mechanical systems, and building codes
- Experience designing chilled water, hot water, ventilation, and air distribution systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) Licence or equivalent
- PMP Certification
- LEED Accreditation
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination
- Knowledge of energy modelling and sustainable building design practices
