The Role of the Business Development Manager:
The Business Development Manager will oversee and drive sales for the Company’s wide portfolio of medical devices, including pressure ulcer prevention surfaces and safe patient handling solutions, across an existing customer base in a designated territory with the expectation to rapidly progress new business and customer opportunities.
The postholder will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans within territory, building strong relationships with customers and colleagues, and achieving commercial excellence and success
Grow revenue in product sales in the community sector.
The postholder will be expected to achieve and exceed KPIs/targets and contribute to significant growth and commercial success.
Support existing customers with the delivery of onsite training, presentations, study days, organising trials and assisting with creative solutions to improve the provision of pressure ulcer prevention within their organisations.
Develop strong partnership relationships with all current and potential customers.
Plan and prioritise sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims and annual territory plans.
Maximise efficiency and productivity, particularly to optimise customer facing activities within designated territory.
Maintain own specialist product and technical knowledge.
A high level of knowledge is required when partnering with specialists in tissue viability, community equipment services, community hospitals and hospices.
Monitor and report on personal, customer, market and competitor activities and provide relevant forecasts, reports, and information as required directly or within a CRM system.
Such requirement may be with little or at times no notice therefore the postholder should be well versed to deliver and meet this requirement at any time.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with the area team and support teams to ensure customer quotations, orders and enquiries are managed promptly, accurately and consistently.
The Ideal Person for the Business Development Manager:
2 years experience as a minimum in a field based, territory management role
Must be established in Pressure care/ Pressure Ulcer prevention or Wound Care solutions or Moving and Handling equipment or something related to this customer base
Ideally will have good exposure to Tissue Viability
A ‘go getter’, who will proactively open and close opportunities
Must be sales focussed
Ideally someone from a pressure area/Moving and Handling background but will also consider people from a wound care background
The key thing is someone that knows the area and has the right contacts Tissue Viability Nurses, Procurement etc
Able to cover a large region and travel extensively

Review FOH procedures on an ongoing basis making suggestions for improvement where appropriate and ensuring procedures are documented and up to date.
Manage the client hospitality (including, catering and event requests booking processes); ensuring the FOH team liaise closely with the catering team/catering providers, as well as wider Facilities team and IT colleagues, as required; ensuring that all catering, beverage and event bookings are fulfilled effectively.
Contribute to the regular Group FOH meetings, progressing any action points and cascading information to the FOH team as appropriate.

Specification Development Stage:

WTI has established a Safety Solutions Team as a revenue-generating team within WTI designed to expand and create new rooftop opportunities for safety inspections, installations, and overall property owner reassurance for OSHA/ANSI compliance, supporting both Tremco Roofing and WTI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
List the job's essential or most important functions and responsibilities of the Safety Service Representative (SSR).
Include all important aspects of the job - whether performed daily, weekly, monthly, or annually; and any that occur at irregular intervals. Integrate safety into the roofing traditional sale process, WTI GC and GS sale processes. Evaluate and develop qualified leads and inspection assessments/reports for OSHA compliance to support the roofing sales representatives with the most current, up-to-date product selection, pricing, and installation processes. Provide product quotes for property owners, sales representatives, Tremco contractors, WTI construction/project managers, WTI field management, or any others as directed. Responsible for contributing to, validating, and signing off on all proposals and specifications.

Responsible for updating regional administration with copies of proposals and providing all data needed to maintain proposal metrics for any region supported. Continually measure the impact of activities and adapt and refine the program of delivery with the Safety Solutions Director as necessary. Establish metrics and benchmark data, develop reports for specific programs and initiatives, and report outcomes to employees, stakeholders, and outside partners. Create and maintain a database of outreach contacts to foster and develop collaborative partnerships. Visit property owner/management customer locations and assess their rooftop safety needs, schedule inspections/assessments, provide fall protection presentations, or any other on-site activities as directed. Coordinate assessments, engineering assessments, training, and/or fall hazard risk inspections with outside partners. Prepare estimates using the electronic tools provided (i.e., spreadsheets, apps, etc.). Develop relationships with regional teams including but not limited to, sales reps, CSS, program managers, regional business managers, field supervisors, and field technicians. Develop processes and protocols for engaging sales representatives, customers, and contractors in alignment with regional and company objectives. Proactively identify potential barriers to participant success and work within WTI and outside agencies to deliver solutions. Provide excellent customer service to employees and outside partners.
