GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Develop, organize and maintain custom sample products while maintaining company standards and safety protocols.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare samples per customer requests (determines materials, finishes, techniques and methods to use to meet customer specifications).
Document sample making instructions and specifications (including materials and techniques) for translation and replication in production.
Label and photograph customer samples and prepare assembly boards for all orders.
Build, maintain and manage photo library.
Assist Sales and Marketing with national account, new product or specialty samples.
Maintain regular communication with the Colorist/Tinter/Quality Control Technician and the Sample and Invoice Coordinator regarding progress, product difficulties, order delay issues, etc.
Maintain accurate records of in process and shipped orders.
Monitor and maintain stock inventory, standard samples inventory levels and basic supplies to ensure timely cycles and meet lead time guidelines.
Observe plant safety rules and regulations and reports any safety hazards to supervisor.
Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
Cross train other team members and provide coverage as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: 1+ year of experience
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS: Proficiency with Photoshop and Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications.

Maintain working knowledge of emerging national trends and best practices in the industry, as well as in outreach, pre-college initiatives, and education related to employee success. Work with WTI management to continually devise and implement process improvements and align programming to meet current and future company needs. Support WTI in advocacy, strategy, and community efforts. May participate in community and education-related committees to further the goals of WTI Education and Community Outreach program(s). QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree in education, social services, or psychology is preferred but not required.
2-4 years prior years related experience in human services, education, or community development. Proven ability to develop strong, respectful relationships. Prior experience working with and contributing to a diverse workplace. Experience adapting to changing environments and navigating organizational dynamics. Demonstrated ability to maintain high confidentiality, discretion, and integrity levels. Here's what you can expect every day:
Stages and charges necessary raw materials into process flow tanks.
Follows batch work instructions in order to manufacture quality products. Prepares disperser and letdown tank for production, including any necessary equipment clean up. Monitors and controls high-speed disperser, mixer, pumps, flow meters and other instruments in order to make sure that a batch is produced according to work instructions. Adjust a batch, under QC guidance, until it is approved. Get batch tickets from floor supervisor and discuss with floor supervisor the best order.
Determine raw materials needed. Housekeeping - Clean up work area to 5S standards, takes out trash, participate in cycle count and inventory program. May assist in other departments such as filling, and material handling or help make sample batches Ensure work area is safe, clean and free of recognizable hazards, communicating all spills or other hazards to the shift supervisor Responsible for Dust collector cleanouts when required.
Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3-5 years experience in batchmaking/mixing Able to read batch tickets and prepare labels for products; basic math Able to operate high-speed dispersers and other operating equipment Ability to lift 50-100 pounds, read digital scales and flow meters Paint/Coatings/chemical industry knowledge or experience

Responsible for producing a quality product that meets all the Safety, SQF and Customer regulations Coach, counsel, train and develop associate's skills Establishes efficient production processes for all the company's product lines Ensures that all products follow QA and SQF procedures Regularly train associates in methods of improving production processes Prior to shift start, reviews production schedule with the line associates and keeps them informed of any changes in product, line changes, material availability.
Complete shift huddle/communication with other department Supervisors and associates Assures that all recipes, labels, tools and equipment are ready prior to production start Inspects production lines regularly to assure that Good Manufacturing Practices are followed Makes certain that production areas are kept clean of waste, debris, and liquids to avoid safety hazards Responsible for making quality products that meet all the Food Safety, SQF, QA, and customer requirements Ensures that at the end of the shift all documentation pertinent to production: materials and counts are accurate.
Completes all required information tracking and data collection Educates associates in pro-active response to down time and rapid shift and product changeovers Maintains effective communications between the Manager and shift supervisors.
Identifies significant issues related to quality, safety, down time, production problems or any other unexpected issues Lead and motivate associates to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs Maintain production schedules to ensure on time production and delivery Manage employees and allocated resources to meet production schedule Other duties as assigned by Manager
EDUCATION/ KNOLEDGE/ QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
2 years or more in a leadership capacity, experience in production, preferably in the food industry or manufacturing is preferred.
(A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.) Bilingual - English/Spanish is preferred Certified fork lift driver Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision Willing and able to work overtime as needed Hardworking, dependable, and safety conscious Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays Demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees Knowledgeable of SQF and OSHA regulations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Some standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling.
Ability to lift 60 lbs.

Possession of a valid driver's license
Pay Range- $60.000 + DOE
