Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with 4-5 years of experience to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the financial management of construction projects from initial cost planning through to final accounts.
You will ensure that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.
This role requires a sound understanding of the construction process, excellent cost management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bills of quantities.
Advise on procurement strategies and prepare cost plans for projects.
Contract Administration:
Administer contracts and manage variations, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
Draft, review, and assess contract documents.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to negotiate and agree on costs.
Cost Management and Reporting:
Monitor project costs to ensure that the project is kept within budget.
Prepare interim valuations, progress claims, and final accounts.
Perform cost analysis and financial forecasts to provide regular reports to stakeholders.
Risk and Value Management:
Conduct cost risk analysis and identify value engineering opportunities to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Monitor project risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate potential impacts on cost and timeline.
Tendering and Procurement:
Evaluate tenders and provide recommendations on the most suitable contractor based on cost, quality, and experience.
Manage subcontractor and supplier procurement, including bid evaluation and contract negotiation.
Project Coordination:
Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and site teams to ensure that the cost elements of the project align with the technical and time requirements.
Attend site meetings to monitor progress, assess variations, and ensure cost control.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure compliance with building regulations, health and safety, and company standards.
Provide advice on legal and contractual issues relating to the project.
Post-Contract Services:
Manage the closeout of projects, including the preparation of final accounts.
Conduct project audits and reports on completion.

These roles involve working as part of a team, managing personnel from both Fugro and subcontractors, and training less experienced geophysicists.
The ideal candidates will be experts in geophysical field operations and data sets, with a strong knowledge of geotechnics, GIS, and geology.
As part of the Geo Science team, the Geo Data Advisors will interact with various internal contacts within the Client Deliverables teams and project supporting functions.
These interactions will occur across different roles, both below and above the grading of the Geo Data Advisors.
The functional activities for this role encompass a variety of responsibilities.
These include providing subject matter expertise to support complex geophysical processing and interpretation matters, such as Side Scan sonar, Magnetometer, Sub-bottom Profiler, and 2D HR/UHRS.
Additionally, the role involves assisting in identifying root causes on acquired geo-data by generating possible solutions and evaluating alternatives.
Ensuring Quality Control (QC) processes are followed and maintained throughout project acquisition is also a key responsibility.
The role requires assisting in writing and reviewing quality incident reports, fostering proactive communication across all project-related stakeholders (both internal and external, remote and vessel-based), and allocating ROC resources on projects based on client requirements and employees' skills and competencies.
Assessing workloads across projects and redistributing technical experts to maximize support, especially during weather forecasts or technical downtimes, is another important task.
Supporting client engagement when technical issues cannot be readily resolved, initiating Geo Data Factory support requests with appointed ROC staff, and performing PPARs at the end of the rotation for allocated remote geophysicists are also part of the role.

Lastly, promoting robust handovers at the end of the rotation, particularly when severe quality incidents have occurred, is essential.

The candidate should have a higher professional education or academic higher education level, preferably in the fields of Geophysics.

THE ROLE:
Reporting into the Transport Manager, this role will be responsible for the daily running of a high-profile & fast-paced transport operation in the Wolverhampton area.
Liaising with & transport planning for circa 20 drivers, 20+ LGV & HGV vehicles and working within an office team of 3 people.
You will be front-foot in ensuring the operation runs smoothly & liaising with the client on a regular basis.
Able to understand client needs and respond to them pro-actively and positively.
Compliance and Legislation adherence.
This role will grow into a Transport management position.
This role will be working normal office hours Mondays to Fridays - so would suit someone who may want to come away from shifts or weekend working.
This is a hands on role, where you will need to do what needs to be done to ensure operational success.
This will include Transport Planning, Briefing & De-Briefing of drivers & compliance.
THE PERSON:
A high-energy & passionate Transport Co-Ordinator or Planner ideally with a fast-paced distribution background.
A hands-on person who is not afraid to get stuck in to things such as operational transport planning, briefing/de-briefing of drivers etc.
CPC National certification - DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL.
Front-foot & hands-on leadership style - this role is very much a hands-on transport role.
Able to liaise from shop-floor to Board level.
Keen to leave a lasting impact and legacy on the wider business.
Someone who wants to play an integral part in building/growing a strong operation.
Someone who wants to develop their career with a progressive business.

As a Panel Beater, you will report to the Bodyshop Manager and repair or replace vehicle bodywork panels based on job card instructions.
They will consider both qualified and non-qualified Technicians.
You will be responsible for:
* Dismantle and repair damaged vehicles by fixing or replacing panels as needed.
* Operate tools and equipment, such as jigs and welding equipment, according to qualifications and safety standards.
* Ensure careful handling of vehicles, maintaining customer satisfaction, and keeping tools in good condition.
* Follow manufacturer guidelines for chassis and panel repairs, attending training to stay updated on new techniques.
What we are looking for:
