Production Operative
Training will be for 2 months
Hours: 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Followed by the evening shift which will be 2 pm to 11 pm (Opportunity for Overtime)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the production team, for an experienced evening production operative to join a great company that takes pride in their staff.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
, Electrical wiring and assembly in a quality-assured environment, using electrical drawings, wiring
schedules, and schematics.
, Assembly work using microscopes.
, Part and product preparation.
, Ensure manufacturing build times are met.
, Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
, Maintain the highest level, of workmanship standards, and product quality.
, Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
, Maintain a safe working environment.
, Follow company housekeeping policy.
, Be willing to contribute to an environment of process improvement.
, Accurately log on and off the barcoding Glovia ERP system for each job process.
, Follow and adhere to the company's policies & procedures onsite.
, Undertake additional duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time and as instructed by the Team Leader/Production Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
, Ideally experience as a wire person.
However, full training will be provided to all employees who
do not have relevant experience.
, Ideally educated to GCE “O” level standard or equivalent preferably in English, Maths, and a Science subject.
, IPC 620 certified/trained would be desirable although full training will be provided.
, Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks.
, Have basic knowledge of equipment, tools, and measuring instruments associated with the
manufacturing of electrical wiring and cable assembly.
, Ability to work on intricate and small assemblies.
, Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and instructions.

Position Overview
As the Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, from demand planning and inventory management to supplier management and risk mitigation.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, production, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment and effective coordination across the organisation.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the purchase of raw materials and packaging for the business
- Implement purchasing strategies, manage a purchasing team, and ensure the organisation secures cost-effective procurement deals

- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimise stock levels while minimising carrying costs

- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, such as supply disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory compliance
- Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimise performance
- Utilise supply chain analytics and reporting tools to gather and analyse data, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making
- Support the business in achieving right first time (RFT), continuous improvement, and minimising wastage and downtime
Candidate Profile
- 4+ years of procurement/purchasing experience
- Manufacturing, Engineering or FMCG background
- Solid team leadership experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in sourcing materials and/or packaging within the UK and internationally
- Understanding of inventory management, specifications, Certificates of Analysis, and supply chain risk management

Candidate Profile:
Ideally, you'll have retail management, visual merchandising, retail sales, people management, team leadership or supervisory experience, within a retail environment.
Alternatively you may have been involved in event-based marketing, promotions or sales.
If you have an interest in; media, entertainment, sports, pop music and recording artists, it would be beneficial.
Experience:
Retail management, ideally across high-traffic, fast-paced or event-based environments
Sales, marketing and product promotion with the ability to achieve KPI & revenue targets
Analysing sales performance, forecasting and adjusting retail strategy in real-time
Strong team leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and drive high performance
Visual merchandising and layout planning experience
Stock management, compliance requirements and customer service best practice
Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
Managing multiple locations or overseeing concurrent operations is highly desirable
Working with major sporting, entertainment or music events, alternatively brand-led retail programmes
