Our client, a leading global financial services firm in Glasgow, is recruiting for a Tax Consultant to join their EMEA Corporate Tax team on a 9-month temporary basis.
This is a senior role within the EMEA Corporate Tax team, overseeing a portfolio of tax reporting and compliance responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on the UK.
Skills/Experience:
Relevant professional accountancy or tax qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA or CTA)
Experience with UK Corporation Tax, gained in Practice or Industry
Background in financial services or an in-house tax department preferred
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Aptitude for working in a fast-changing, dynamic environment, managing a portfolio of deliverables and meeting tight deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word); experience with Oracle TRCS would be an advantage

Managing UK and EMEA corporate tax compliance, forecasting and provisioning
Calculating and reviewing corporate income tax and deferred tax accounting entries
Overseeing tax disclosures within financial statements
Managing responses to regulatory and tax authority audits
Coordinating quarterly effective tax rate calculations under US GAAP and IFRS
Overseeing corporate income tax return submissions
Working closely with Tax, Finance and wider business stakeholders
Managing and developing team members through coaching, training and support
Driving process improvements, automation and operational efficiencies
Building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders
Managing additional tax reporting and analytical requirements as needed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
This position performs diagnostic various onsite inspections for customers as well as other inspection services
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform/assist with diagnostic roof inspections, including Infrared, Nuclear, visual, & other inspection services, along with related information gathering and verification tasks.
Work with Lead Diagnostics Technician Collaborate with other Field Supervisors as necessary. Assist with the Quality Control (QC) process of all diagnostic jobs, including the proper documentation, to ensure that all work was completed properly and that the customer was fully satisfied. Conduct and foster professional and timely communication (via email, voicemail, in person) with the customers, sales reps, field staff, and internal company personnel on all diagnostic related matters. Serve as a contact for the office personnel if there are any problems concerning a diagnostic issue. Project a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while completing services for a customer. In conjunction with the Manager of Diagnostic Services, assist in the training of other field personnel on diagnostic tools, techniques, processes, etc. Proper completion of all services and related paperwork. Participate in all safety trainings and complete any required documentation.
