Primarily responsible for assuring the safe operation of Stonhard's manufacturing and warehousing facilities in New Jersey, compliance with all applicable regulations and training of Stonhard personnel in applicable requirements.
Essential Functions
Responsible for general OSHA (Title 29CFR) compliance in all Stonhard manufacturing and warehousing facilities in Maple Shade, NJ.
Ensure facility compliance with all applicable national and state mandated fire protection codes in all Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ.
Responsible for implementing, conducting, and maintaining OSHA required programs, training and recordkeeping of all Stonhard employees located in Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ facilities.
Assist and work closely with the Corporate Manager- Environmental, Health and Safety with safety and environmental inspections, sustaining EH&S metrics, permitting and compliance.
Responsible for tracking daily and weekly facility housekeeping/compliance inspections at all Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ facilities.
Coordinate emergency response for hazardous material and hazardous waste incidents.
Also has responsibility for maintaining spill response readiness (spill cabinets).
Responsible for maintaining and enforcing PPE requirements and supplies for all facilities in Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ.
Responsible for conducting incident / near miss investigations, root cause analysis, and assignment of corrective actions.
Responsible for proposing implementing and maintaining loss reduction measures, programs and training at all Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ facilities.
Responsible for hosting monthly safety meetings and presenting monthly compliance training to manufacturing and warehouse facilities in Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, NJ
Minimum Requirements
BS Degree in Safety Management
3-5 years related experience.
Knowledge of Contractor Safety
Knowledge of OSHA standards
Knowledge of EPA regulations
Knowledge of local, state, and federal fire codes and regulations
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Ability to solve problems as they arise.
Attention to detail.
Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This position requires consistent wearing of safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots with additional specific PPE depending on the chemicals or materials handled, which could include respirators, hearing protection, or specialized gloves for hazardous substances while on the worksite.
Benefits and Compensation
The pay range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $55,000 and $65,000.
The range is an estimate based on potential employee qualification operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Support plant operations through: Conducting administrative tasks, maintaining records, entering data, plant communications, and assisting with projects.
Supports continuous improvement and compliance initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform administrative duties related to EH&S, purchasing, shipping, scheduling meetings, answering phones, greeting visitors, processing invoices, and submitting purchase orders.
Interface with Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and other departments as necessary to support business operations.
Maintain product and supply inventories and communicate concerns, shortages, or discrepancies to management.
Provide project support through documentation, coordination, tracking, and communication with stakeholders.
Manage and maintain documentation control processes in compliance with ISO 9001 & 14001 requirements.
Enter data and generate reports utilizing company systems as directed by management.
Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
Update and maintain site communications, including bulletin boards, meeting agendas, and digital communication displays.
Coordinate, track, and maintain employee training records and meeting attendance.
Support the training facility by maintaining supplies, receiving goods, and coordinating training meetings with the offsite Training Coordinator.
Assist with organizing departmental records and maintaining accurate documentation.
Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all assigned responsibilities.
Perform additional administrative and operational support duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
One to two years of related experience and/or training OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

The Opportunity
Synergi are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a well-established manufacturing business on the Norfolk/Suffolk border.
This is a permanent role within a busy engineering team, working across a broad mix of production plant and site services.
This is a permanent nights position - 4 on 4 off, 6pm to 6am.
The shift is fixed, so there is no rotation onto days and no constantly resetting your sleep.
You will know your pattern well in advance and can plan around it, and the four-day blocks leave your daytimes free for the things that are impossible to arrange around a standard working week.
The site runs a fast-paced operation to strict quality and hygiene standards, so uptime matters.
You will be trusted to make your own calls on breakdowns and to bring ideas forward on how the plant can run better - this is not a role where you simply wait for the next job to land.
The position is mechanically biased with welding and fabrication skills highly valued.
Electrical capability is not essential, but any electrical fault-finding experience will be a genuine advantage.
What You Will Be Doing
Delivering planned preventative maintenance to keep plant running at optimum efficiency
Providing emergency breakdown cover across all production plant and site services
Acting as first-line response on machinery faults, diagnosing and repairing to a high standard
Carrying out welding and fabrication repairs as required
Recording machine history, PPM records and handover information on the site maintenance management system
Identifying and reporting problem areas across plant and services before they become failures
Contributing improvement and cost-reduction ideas for the plant and the wider engineering department
Working to Health & Safety, quality and hygiene standards at all times, and maintaining strong housekeeping across the factory and workshops
What We Are Looking For
A time-served or formally qualified engineer with a mechanical bias
Welding and fabrication skills - strongly preferred
Experience of PPM and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing or production environment
Comfortable working a 4 on 4 off 12-hour nights shift pattern, 6pm to 6am
Comfortable using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
Electrical fault-finding experience - desirable, not essential
A team player with strong attention to detail, who communicates well across the wider factory team
