Job Title: National Architectural Coatings Sales Specialist

Position Summary
Rust-Oleum is seeking a highly driven and strategic National Architectural Coatings Sales Specialist to play a critical role in the launch and expansion of our architectural paint portfolio across the Paint Channel, Hardware, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) segments.
This individual will serve as a subject matter expert and commercial leader, partnering with field sales, distribution, and key accounts to accelerate adoption, drive specification, and deliver profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead national sales efforts supporting the architectural coatings launch, ensuring alignment across Paint, Hardware, and MRO channels
Act as the technical and commercial expert on architectural coatings, providing product training, application guidance, and competitive positioning
Partner with Regional Sales Managers and Distributor Sales Teams to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities
Drive pull-through demand by working with contractors, facility managers, and end users to influence product specification and conversion
Build and execute channel-specific growth strategies to expand distribution, increase shelf presence, and improve share of wallet
Conduct joint sales calls and field rides to coach and elevate sales execution across the organization
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, and Supply Chain to ensure successful product launch and lifecycle management
Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity to inform strategy and optimize performance
Support national and regional trade shows, customer events, and training sessions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in architectural coatings, paint, or related building products industry
Proven success in multi-channel sales environments, including Paint, Hardware, and/or MRO distribution
Strong understanding of coatings applications, contractor needs, and specification selling
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead through collaboration
Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills
Willingness to travel nationally (50-70%)
Preferred Qualifications

Job Description
The Sr.
Chemist, Recreational and Marine Coatings is responsible for leading the research, development, and optimization of high-performance coating technologies across MRT's recreational coatings portfolio, with primary emphasis on marine applications under Pettit and secondary support for aquatics applications under Ramuc and Tuff Coat.
This role is responsible for developing new products, improving existing formulations, and providing technical expertise to support manufacturing, quality, regulatory compliance, and customer needs.
The Sr.
Chemist will drive projects from concept through commercialization while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver coating solutions that meet demanding performance, environmental, and customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities
Lead the formulation, development, and testing of marine recreational coating systems across marine and aquatic applications, including anti-fouling/fouling-release coatings, primers, anti-corrosion coatings, topside systems, and protective finishes, while also supporting pool, deck, and other recreational surface coatings as needed..
Design and execute laboratory experiments to evaluate coating performance, durability, adhesion, corrosion resistance, weatherability, chemical resistance, application properties, and suitability for marine and aquatic environments.
Manage new product development projects from concept through scale-up and commercial launch.
Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports, recommendations, and presentations.
Investigate and resolve product performance, manufacturing, and customer-related technical issues.
Identify opportunities for raw material optimization, cost reduction, and continuous improvement while maintaining product quality and performance.
Stay current with industry trends, competitive technologies, environmental regulations, and emerging raw materials.
Mentor chemists and other laboratory personnel while promoting safe laboratory practices and technical excellence.

Key Qualifications

The Machine Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III).

Job Description
The Sr.
Chemist, Recreational and Marine Coatings is responsible for leading the research, development, and optimization of high-performance coating technologies across MRT's recreational coatings portfolio, with primary emphasis on marine applications under Pettit and secondary support for aquatics applications under Ramuc and Tuff Coat.
This role is responsible for developing new products, improving existing formulations, and providing technical expertise to support manufacturing, quality, regulatory compliance, and customer needs.

Chemist will drive projects from concept through commercialization while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver coating solutions that meet demanding performance, environmental, and customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities
Lead the formulation, development, and testing of marine recreational coating systems across marine and aquatic applications, including anti-fouling/fouling-release coatings, primers, anti-corrosion coatings, topside systems, and protective finishes, while also supporting pool, deck, and other recreational surface coatings as needed..
Design and execute laboratory experiments to evaluate coating performance, durability, adhesion, corrosion resistance, weatherability, chemical resistance, application properties, and suitability for marine and aquatic environments.
Manage new product development projects from concept through scale-up and commercial launch.
Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports, recommendations, and presentations.
Investigate and resolve product performance, manufacturing, and customer-related technical issues.
Identify opportunities for raw material optimization, cost reduction, and continuous improvement while maintaining product quality and performance.
Stay current with industry trends, competitive technologies, environmental regulations, and emerging raw materials.
Mentor chemists and other laboratory personnel while promoting safe laboratory practices and technical excellence.
Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline, Master's degree preferred.
5+ years of related work experience, preferably in marine, recreational, industrial, or protective coatings.
Strong knowledge of epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic, alkyd, and other resin technologies.
Experience supporting product scale-up and manufacturing processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with anti-fouling/fouling-release technologies, marine and aquatic recreational coating performance requirements.
Knowledge of EPA FIFRA registrations and testing for biocide products.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Lab technician will work primarily within a designated development group, preparing customer samples, color-match products, and producing laboratory formulations.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
