We are working with the UKs largest Automotive service, maintenance, and repair business to recruit for a Vehicle Technician to join their workshop.
As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work.
Youll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

Skills and experience
- Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience

- Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)

The role will include general maintenance, servicing and restoration work on many different classic cars ranging from the 1930s right through to current models, and therefore a sound knowledge of a wide variety of cars would be advantageous.
You will also be required to record accurately all service and repair works undertaken, including keeping photographic records for any restoration projects, therefore basic IT skills would be an advantage.
This role will suit an experienced reliable, conscientious person who is self motivated with a can do attitude, able to work unsupervised when necessary, but also able to work under instruction as part of a team.
The cars belong to the Cherished Historic fleets of some major motor manufacturers, attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship is required at all times.
You will be required to plan your own work schedule to ensure that all cars are ready for any events or bookings made by our clients, and be able to deal with constant, last minute changes of plan.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that workshop supplies are ordered as required within budget.
Job Requirements
A passion for historic vehicles and ideally at least 3 years experience in Classic Car Maintenance, along with a good knowledge of current models.
Have the flexibility to work on all types of projects, including the routine maintenance work and have good housekeeping skills to ensure workshop is kept clean and tidy.
Full clean driving licence.

This role educates WTI personnel on proper product use and application, provides installation training on and off the roof, and oversees large self-performed projects from start to finish with intermittent inspections and post-completion inspections of smaller projects.
The QCS will perform regular job site visits during the project and after project completion.
The goal is to provide consistency across the country with proper roof repairs and application of our products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure proper execution and delivery of all WTI GS and GC self-performed roofing work. Provide a variety of technical and application training sessions in the field and in a shop setting. Provide hands-on application training and supervision of roof coatings and installation. Attend pre-con's on large projects.
Be present at job start-ups to discuss the proper execution of the scope of work.
Visit the projects at specific intervals to assess the completed work and provide any direction or corrective advice.
Perform a pre-final inspection to ensure that the projects have a zero punch list.
Perform final inspections when needed.
Pre-project field inspections and technical support including but not limited to: Peel tests Product recommendations Proper product installations Post-project completion inspection to ensure quality workmanship and proper utilization and application of materials. Product diagnostic support to ensure that WTI is kept out of trouble in misuse of products for the situation. Perform roof inspections with written reports and photo documentation. Perform safety audits while on site to ensure all safety requirements are being met and consult with the safety team when necessary. Communicate professionally with our Technicians, Foremen, Supervisors, Field Operations Managers, Regional Business Managers, Corporate Staff, and the Sales Team. Complete daily reports, including DTAs, safety audits, truck audits, and QC inspection reports, as necessary and applicable. Complete weekly/monthly activity reports as requested. Support the region as needed when the weather conditions do not allow for your normal job responsibilities. Additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
Working knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including built-up, modified, single-ply, and metal. Working knowledge of roof coating systems. Strong roofing or building science mechanical aptitude. Practical computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite and learning the necessary internal business systems). In-depth technical understanding and extensive hands-on knowledge of applications of products.
Intimate knowledge of our product line. Must be able to travel within assigned territory up to 75% of the time with overnight trips included.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of roofing, roofing repair, troubleshooting, or field service experience. Prior experience in a field service leadership role. History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation. Prior experience and demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task. - Holds a valid Electrical Qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or HNC/HND equivalent
- Holds practical electrical or mechanical diagnostic repair experience of building services/machines and/or equipment
- Commutable within 40 minutes of Solihull with a full driving licence and vehicle
- Happy to work within a healthcare environment daily
- Keen to develop own skills through various specialist training courses
- Flexible to work as part of the on-call rota 1 week in 5
- Happy to work 1 Sunday in 4 for Generator Testing
- Be a great communicator with a strong work ethic
- Able to work as part of a team and also independently to ensure tasks are completed

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Service Administrator to join our busy and dynamic team in our commercial vehicle workshop based in Basingstoke.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
You will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our workshop by managing service bookings, liaising with customers, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Be the first point of contact for customers, addressing their service needs and queries both via phone and email.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction at all times.
- Service Bookings: Coordinate and schedule service appointments, ensuring maximum workshop efficiency.
- Admin Support: Provide essential administrative support to the service team, including creating and updating job cards, maintaining service records, and ensuring paperwork is accurate and up to date.
- Parts and Inventory Management: Assist in the ordering and tracking of parts required for vehicle servicing and repairs.
- Invoicing and Billing: Support the team in generating invoices, processing payments, and maintaining financial records related to services provided.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all service procedures comply with health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
- Database Management: Keep records up to date in the service management system, tracking the progress of service jobs, vehicle history, and customer details.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in an administrative or customer service role, ideally in a workshop or automotive environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
- Proficient in using office software (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.) and service management systems.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.
