GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Maintenance Technician supports and ensures the completion of day-to-day maintenance activities at the plant.
The position provides support to leadership for all maintenance staff to drive excellence and maximize effort.
The position focuses on maintaining high-quality standards through the efforts expended at the facility that meet and exceed customer expectations while maintaining a professional and equally efficient environment for all production employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform standard work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.
Inspect and repair plant equipment, including but not limited to mechanical, welding, carpentry, electrical, instrumentation and controls to minimize downtime.
Document accurate maintenance activity records.
Clean and maintain assigned areas and tools to ensure proper functionality.
Participate in the continuous improvement process.
Report incidents, near misses, and any non-conformances through the appropriate channels.
Exemplify the expected values of organization including following policies and standard work procedures.
Give input on and coordinate maintenance supply purchases.
Perform Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure completion and accuracy.
Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Cross-train on other production functions to aid as business need dictates.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
One-year certificate from college, technical school or manufacturing training program.
One additional year of experience plus high school diploma/GED in lieu of higher education is acceptable.
Two additional years of experience in lieu of formal education is acceptable.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Maintenance Technician II: 1+ year of experience
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Capable of installing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC; AC/DC drive motors preferred
Ability to troubleshoot electric, air systems, and hydraulic systems
Knowledge of lockout/tagout, arc flash requirements, confined space entry and hot work permit
Ability to work overtime as needed; ability to meet deadlines
Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond urgently to down equipment
Effective team player, self-motivated, quick learner
Good communication skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Role Overview
A skilled Contract Pipefitter is required to support ongoing work at a manufacturing plant in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
The role is with an established engineering consultancy delivering projects across a range of process industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, food, water, and related sectors.
The successful candidate will have a strong pipefitting background, be confident fabricating pipework from isometric drawings, and possess MIG welding experience to support fabrication and installation activities on site.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication and installation of pipework systems within an industrial manufacturing environment
Working from isometric drawings to fabricate pipe spools accurately
MIG welding of pipework and associated components as required
Measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling pipework to specification
Ensuring all work meets quality standards and project requirements
Carrying out visual checks and reporting any defects or issues
Adhering to all site health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
Working closely with supervisors, engineers, and other trades on site
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a Pipefitter in industrial or manufacturing environments
Strong ability to fabricate from isometric drawings
MIG welding experience (essential)
Background in process industry environments (chemical, pharmaceutical, food, water, etc.)

As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and replacing vehicle panels and chassis, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety.

You will be responsible for
* Dismantling, repairing, or replacing damaged vehicle panels and framework in line with technical instructions.
* Operating all equipment, including welding tools, jigs, and fixtures, safely and to required standards.
* Following manufacturer guidance and technical bulletins when carrying out panel and chassis repairs.
* Maintaining vehicles with care, ensuring tools and equipment are kept clean and safe.
* Observing all relevant Health and Safety regulations and company housekeeping policies.
* Providing supervision to less experienced staff where applicable and undertaking training to keep skills up to date.
What we are looking for
* Previously worked as a Panel Beater, Panel technician, Bodyshop Technician, Body technician, Panel, technician, or in a similar role.
* Proven experience of at least 3 years in vehicle panel repair.
* ATA accreditation is preferable.
* Commitment to maintaining safety and high-quality workmanship.
