Your role as a MET Technician:
- Strip and refit vehicle components to the highest possible standards
- Dismantle and rebuild vehicles efficiently following repair methods
- Identify and report any unseen damage
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a strong team environment
- Maintain great attention to detail and efficiency throughout all tasks
What were looking for:
- Prior experience as a MET Technician / Strip Fitter
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ
- ATA accreditation is desirable but not essential
- A proactive approach with a passion for delivering excellence

About You:

Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
Strong communication skills with the confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels
Good Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience working within a structured, corporate or large organisational environment

This is a hands-on role working on a wide range of heavy plant and processing equipment, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable, and operational across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair a variety of heavy plant machinery including excavators, loading shovels, crushers, screeners, dumpers, and material handling equipment
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic faults
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Attend breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime through effective fault finding
- Complete maintenance records and job documentation accurately
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures

About You
- Proven experience working as a Heavy Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, Plant Mechanic, or similar role

- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
