As part of this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of both the fleet vehicles and the workshop.In the Fleet Workshop Assistant role, you will be:
Following instructions from the Senior Transport Officer (STO) and Workshop Chargehands for general and maintenance tasks.Assisting authority drivers in maintaining and inspecting vehicles as directed by the STO and workshop staff.Ensuring proper maintenance and storage of workshop equipment daily/weekly.Washing vehicles before service/inspection and keep the wash bay clean.Maintaining cleanliness in yard, plant shop, and workshop areas.Delivering and collect vehicle parts and vehicles as requested by STO/workshop charge-hands.Managing and maintain internal stock within the workshop.
To be considered for the Fleet Workshop Assistant role, you will need:
Good basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skillsFull UK drivers’ licence (category C) and valid LGV licenceUp-to-date and valid CPC CertificatePrevious experience of manual work and knowledge of safe manual handling proceduresPrevious experience of working in a fleet depotGood geographic knowledge of Conwy County
This is a temporary ongoing role, working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
