Position Summary:
Perform all color formulation work for production orders and RTS warehouse orders, as well as tasks to support color formulations.
Prepare and distribute color chips or standards as needed per marketing and manufacturing.
Reports to Color Manager or more senior personnel.
Essential Functions:
Make batches with provided colorant formulae and corrections. Spray panels. Run color computer to provide colorant adds. Make color chips for Manufacturing and Marketing. Use and maintain Laboratory equipment and supplies for the Color Group.
Keep Color Lab area clean and orderly. Keep records and files of work and evaluate results. Perform limited formulation work and Quality Control Test. Take an active role in hazard recognition and injury prevention by following all safety rules & regulations and immediately report all injuries and incidents to your supervisor. Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner. Receives annual training in RCRA Hazardous Waste and Carboline's Contingency Plan and will adhere to this training while performing their job. Perform additional duties as assigned Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent must pass Color Blindness test 1-year college Math or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting up to 50 pounds approximately 10% of the time; exposure to chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, and Acrylics.
Must pass annual respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test as required by OSHA (respirator worn 20% of the time).
Able to operate, maintain, and repair equipment which includes handling, moving, and hand/eye coordination (approximately 35% of the time).
The equipment includes but is not limited to: airless pumps, blasting, welding, and power hand tools.

Carboline is seeking a Chemistry Intern to work at our Saint Louis, MO, RD&I location.
The R&D summer internship program provides an opportunity for students to work closely with senior chemists in order to improve technical skills while being given a developmental opportunity in a chemical industrial setting.
Interns will be given the opportunity to take ownership of an assigned project by performing, analyzing, and presenting experiments targeted toward high-performance coatings, linings, and fireproofing products.
Requirements:

Position Summary:
Applies all Carboline coatings to panels for use by customers, sales and R&D for testing purposes as well as for sales aids.
Participates in spray evaluations.
Essential Functions:
• Preparation of panels prior to coating.
Have a good understanding of the basic operation of hand and power tools, abrasive blast cabinet and pin welder.
To include minor maintenance of same. • Have a good understanding of how to operate as well as maintain mixing equipment, airless and conventional spray equipment to apply Carboline products. • Know how to use inspection equipment, surface preparation standards, etc. • Provide documentation for panels which will be tested.
Spray nuclear testing orders upon certification. • Responsible for maintaining a stock of standard panel systems. • Package and ship sample panels. • Understand basic coating technologies so that Carboline coatings can be properly applied and cured for sample panels, evaluations, field work, etc.
Be able to troubleshoot and correct coating and application problems. • Assist the R&D Department in application of new or revised product evaluations, new equipment evaluations, etc.

Minimum Requirements

Preferred Requirements
Previous industrial sales experience and NACE certifications are a plus.

What will you do this year?In your role as a Administrative Clerk, Fair & Festival Operations your primary accountabilities will be to:
Provide general administrative support for the Fair and Festival Operations department.Provide administrative services to the department including word-processing, spreadsheets, filing, record keeping, data entry and mail distribution.
Provide general reception services such as answering inquiries by telephone, email and in person.Track Exhibit Space mailbox to capture important information and communicate effectively with vendorsAssist in collecting and verifying external vendor information for purposes of Exhibit Space contracts for the PNE Fair and PNE Winter FairCreate and maintain excel databases as directed.Arrange material and prepare reports in appropriate formats and methods of presentation.Take, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings as directed.Prepare and send invoices for External Vendor contracts, coordinate payment and department journaling for service vendor invoices.Oversee the contracting process by issuing and tracking vendor agreements, ensuring accurate completion and timely compliance with all requirements.Prepare and update the vendor portal page, ensuring information is current and accessible for all vendors, including guidelines, schedules, and important updates.Ensures common areas are maintained including office equipment and supplies.Maintains a safe and clean environment.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Must have successful completion of Grade 12, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Post-secondary course work in office, computer and purchasing skills are considered an asset.Must have strong knowledge and experience with computer applications including but not limited to MS Office Suite; with a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.Must be proficient with computer applications and programs, with the ability to administer new or changing software applications. Must have 2-3 years of work experience within an administrative capacity and/or reception and office services.Must have strong customer service skills and a pleasant manner for assisting clients on the phone and in person.Must have a keen attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skillsMust be capable of understanding and executing written and oral instructions in English.Ability to function with some independence and under pressure; and ability to meet multiple service demands at the same time.Ability to deal with confidential matters and use discretion.Flexibility to easily accept changing priorities and tasks as delegated.Must be able and willing to work four days/week from June to September & month of December with a start time as early as 8:00 am; and flexibility to work various shifts (evenings, weekends, and holidays) depending on operational needs.Successful candidates must undergo a Criminal Record Check.

Position Summary:
Perform all color formulation work for production orders and RTS warehouse orders, as well as tasks to support color formulations.
Prepare and distribute color chips or standards as needed per marketing and manufacturing.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent must pass Color Blindness test 1-year college Math or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting up to 50 pounds approximately 10% of the time; exposure to chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, and Acrylics.
Must pass annual respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test as required by OSHA (respirator worn 20% of the time).
Able to operate, maintain, and repair equipment which includes handling, moving, and hand/eye coordination (approximately 35% of the time).
The equipment includes but is not limited to: airless pumps, blasting, welding, and power hand tools.
