This position is a full time permanent role working as part of a multidisciplinary team providing a high standard of care to their patients.Key role and responsibilities for a Registered General Nurse
Responsible for participating in all aspects of the Ophthalmic Service including surgery, pre operative assessment and post-operative care.
Responsible for all care for patients including diagnostic tests and post-operative care.
Responsible for Admission and discharge of patients on theatre day
Administering drugs in accordance to the NMC guidelines
Prepare all areas prior to any clinical activities including checking equipment is ready for use
Assisting with stock control ensuring realistic par levels are maintained and all items are readily available
Minimum requirements for a Registered General Nurse
Experience within the private healthcare sector
Minimum of 1 years post registration experience in a clinical or hospital setting
Current NMC registration
