My client, a large Plant Hire company, is looking for a qualified and experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to join their team.
The Heavy Plant Fitter will be working on a range of construction plant machinery.
The main responsibilities of the Heavy Plant Fitter will include;
- Routine service and maintenance of plant machinery
- Repairs and refurbishment as necessary to ensure hire equipment is fit for purpose
- Diagnostics / Fault Finding
- PDI inspections
- Safety inspections.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Based Engineer to join successful franchised dealership who is looking to expand their overgrowing field service engineer team.
The Field Based Engineer role comes with a competitive basic salary of up to £45,000 ( OTE of £55K+ )
40 hours per week
Significant overtime paid at time and a half
23 days and bank holidays
Extensive manufacturer training provided.

Field Based Engineer responsibilities
- Working on a varitey of plant machinery
- Carry out on site breakdown repairs and routine maintenance
- Carry out after service repairs
- Liaising with the service office and customers
- Parts ordering
- Complete admin electronically
Minimum Requirements for Field Based Engineer
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role and field
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent in engineering or revelan
- Ability to service, maintain and repair a wide range of heavy plant machines.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems.
- Full UK driving license.
- IT Literate

Job Title Assistant Service Supervisor
Salary £50,000- £55,000 per annum
Location Lancaster
I am currently working with a nationwide operator in a busy workshop in the Lancaster area who are looking for an Assistant Service Supervisor to join their team.
Assistant Service Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed customer expectations whilst maintaining profitability
- Efficient use of Service Engineers
- Deputise for the Depot Manager when away
- Feedback any important customer information to the Company
- Answer all in-coming calls efficiently, present a professional image and portray a polite and courteous manner at all times
- Responsible for ensuring the customer is kept fully updated regarding machine repair work and/or additional work requirements
- Ensure all machines are PDId and repaired to a high standard prior to being dispatched to the customer
- Liaison with Watling Parts department to order parts required
Requirements for Assistant Service Supervisor:
- Previous experience as a Service Supervisor or Workshop foreman is essential.
- Must have a technical background as will be assessing jobs carried out by Technicians.
- Ideally have a formal qualification to a minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- Must have own tools
