The Role
As an MET Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality mechanical, electrical and trim repairs as part of the vehicle repair process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components
- Stripping and rebuilding accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards
- Identifying and reporting any additional damage not included within the original estimate
- Carrying out suspension repairs and mechanical work
- Completing four-wheel alignment and geometry (GEO) adjustments
To be successful in this role, you\'ll ideally have:
- Previous experience as an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician within an accident repair centre
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience with suspension, steering and vehicle geometry
- ATA Accreditation (desirable but not essential)
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification (advantageous)
- Hybrid Vehicle qualification (preferred)
- ADAS Accreditation (preferred)
- A full UK driving licence
