Job Description
Reporting to the principle electrical engineer you will be an experienced electrical design engineer with an understanding of technical, commercial, and construction experience within the electrical services industry. You must be dynamic and enthusiastic with good interpersonal and business development skills, with a broad experience in professional and project work ideally with a water services background.
What you'll be doing:
the post duties will include the undertaking of electrical design services on a local and national basis in accordance with the client's contract scope, current regulations, British and with an understanding of client specifications and requirements such as within the water industry WIMES and Southern Water MED standards and specifications
requiring the undertaking and preparation of designs/briefs, specifications, feasibility studies, site inspection, commissioning and maintenance testing/certification, associated with a varied range of M&E Services and Infrastructure electrical services and project management
MV/ LV main distribution, Plant and control including VSD's
lighting (general and emergency), Small power,
lightning protection, Life critical alarm, security and access systems,
SCADA plant interfaces , Control and building management systems.

formal education and training in electrical engineering with demonstrable experience in the sector.
excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with management and staff at all levels and our clients.
able to undertake LV electrical surveys and design calculations.
