THE ROLE
My client, an established firm of PQS now seeks a QUANTITY SURVEYOR at Graduate / Assistant / Project Surveyor level ideally with some experience or an interest in the role of EMPLOYER'S AGENT role to join them in the Stockport, Greater Manchester area.
You will have the opportunity of working on a range of projects including residential and care homes for private and public sector clients.
You will be involved in all aspects of Cost Management doing both pre and post contract duties including overseeing cost management and budget control, dealing directly with clients and stakeholders, preparing reports and maintaining project documentation, ensuring compliance with contracts etc.

They are a firm of construction consultants offering clients both cost management, employer's agent and project management services.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Quantity Surveyor who is currently working for a UK firm of PQS.
At Graduate or Assistant level you will ideally have a year or more experience of working for a UK firm of PQS doing both pre and post contract duties.
You will need to have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics or similar and be keen to work towards becoming chartered with the RICS.
An interest in doing the Employer's Agent role is required including contract administration.
You should first class communication skills, both written and spoken.
You will need to be a car owner and driver as some of the projects are not near to public transport.
You should have a stable work record.
You must have excellent English both written and spoken along with good IT skills and have good client facing skills.
Salary is in the region of £28000 to £50000 (depending on your level) plus car allowance, pension contribution plus RICS fees and two discretionary bonus' per annum.

An exciting role for a PROJECT MANAGER at Senior or Associate level who is MRICS qualified to join a boutique firm of consultants with good long standing clients to work on new build hotels, offices, cut & carve construction projects based in the City of London.
Clients are mainly landlords.
You should be happy to help the partner on a large project valued £250m and also be able to run your own projects from inception to completion.

THE CANDIDATE
You will be an MRICS qualified Project Manager at either Associate level or at Senior level.
You should be chartered with the RICS and have experience gained with a UK firm of construction consultants.
You will also be Degree or MSc qualified in a building construction subject e.g.
Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Project Management etc.
You must have a good understanding of the building process to be able to meet with clients and deal with their required project at all stages from inception to completion.
You should have a stable work record with other firms of construction consultants.
You must have excellent written and spoken English and be confident in dealing with people at all levels.
You should be interested in getting involved with some networking and business development.

THE ROLE
My client, a boutique firm of PQS has an urgent role for a highly experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager.
The role will be based in London working on high value office refurbishments and alterations plus hotels and retail projects.
You will be involved in both pre and post contract MEP services and you must have a good understanding of all aspects of mechanical, HVAC, electrical engineering work for large buildings.
You will be able to do cost plans, cost estimates and all post contract work as well as challenge the MEP contractors when required.
This will be a long term assignment for the right person who could be at Senior MEP QS level through to Associate, Associate Director or possibly Partner level.

You will need to have at least 7 years or more experience doing both pre and post contract duties for Building Services Engineering works.
You will need to be either MRICS qualified or be very experienced as an M&E QS.
You should be able to work without supervision and produce your own cost plans etc.
You must have excellent English both written and spoken along with good IT skills and have good client facing skills.
Day rate will be from £450 to £750 or more if someone is at Associate Director or Partner level.
