Material Handler:
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The primary function of this job is to ensure optimum operation of the flow of incoming, outgoing, and staging of shipments.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:• Operate forklifts (sit down and standup), hand trucks and/ or other equipment to move freight• Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products• Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas• Identify and verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming materials from Production, Vendors, and/ or returned goods deliveries• Attention to detail is a must.• Move materials to warehouse locations or staging and record their locations in the warehouse using handhelds to maintain accurate inventories• Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them• Perform cycle counts• Maintains a clean warehouse and working environment• Ensures compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations; may require the employee to wear safety equipment or gear.
Is familiar with the use of all safety equipment, when and how to use it.
Must also participate and engage in all safety programs and processes.
RECOMMENDED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:• High school diploma or equivalent• 1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred• Certification to operate forklift truck preferred• Must be able to work well in a team• Ability to read, write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials• Ability to operate handhelds, computers and relevant warehouse management and shipping computer software• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekendsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Travel is not required for this position.

Previous experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment requiring speed and dexterity is preferred.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum education and experience: a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline or high school diploma and 5 years' experience in a related area, or suitable combination of education and relevant experience as described. Minimum of 10 years of responsible leadership experience in management or supervisory positions. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and demonstrated proficiency with administrative functions. Extensive knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the thermoset polymer industry is a strongly considered asset. Is responsible for managing all Self-Perform Projects and the associated customers (Including GC and large-scale P&R, TremCare, etc).
